We have lived in this home for the past 29 years and have recently renovated the home from top to bottom. We've purchased a smaller home in the City and are not quite sure we are ready to part with our "family" home! We are turning a page to the next chapter in our lives.
This property is convenient to all outdoor activities: snowmobiling, snow biking, skiing, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking.....It is in a very quiet setting but yet only minutes away from the city.
This home is very comfortable and nicely furnished. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. There were 5 of us and we had a couple visit us too. We never felt crowded at all. There are lots of separate areas for quite conversation, reading, relaxing, board games and TV. The owners were very welcoming. They responded quickly to our questions and requests and promptly returned our security deposit within 24 hours of our stay - probably before we even made it home. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this property.
We greatly enjoyed our week in this home. The home is well equipped from bedrooms to sitting and recreational areas to the kitchen. It is situated on a beautiful little lake that adds serenity to the location.
My friends and I went to UP last week and stay at Danny's house for two nights. The house is very neat and clean everywhere. The kitchen is well-equipped so we can cook our breakfast and picnic stuff. The location is good and convenient, but quiet as well. We have group of 7 people and everybody enjoyed our stay there! Thanks Danny and Heidi.
We needed to get away and our stay at the Hills' home was beyond fantastic. The Hills went above and beyond meeting our needs. The home is special, warm, beautiful, and the view priceless. The Hills provided everything we needed and then some. We plan to come back as soon as we can!
We just had a wonderful weekend stay here and we were very impressed with the home and the property. Tons of sleeping and gathering space for our group, lots of outdoor activities, beautiful setting (inside and outside), and convenient location. We had a great time!
We stayed in this lakefront home for a weeklong vacation. The house is very clean and up to date, and in a great location for visiting the Ishpeming and Marquette areas. It's in a very quiet neighborhood. Our kids really liked going out with their dad on the paddleboat. The owners are helpful and respond quickly to questions. We would definitely stay here again!
The area in which the home is, is very diverse! There are Iron Mining museums, the US Ski Hall of Fame and a short drive to the Maritime Museum and the Marquette Historical Society Museum. Recreational activities abound with the Al Quaal Recreation Area: downhill skiing, tube slide, cross country ski trails, swimming beach. One of IMBA's newest Bronze Level Mountain Bike Ride Centers is two miles away with 43 miles of signed handbuilt trails. Access to the UP's massive snowmobile trail system via Trail 8 is less than a half mile away.
