We had a fantastic time during our stay at this charming, well-appointed home. Tucked away in a sweet valley, it felt like we were miles away from it all - when in fact we were conveniently located not 5 minutes from the shopping and dining of North Conway. The home was warm, comfortable, quiet and peaceful. We found everything we needed (and then some) in the home - kitchen gadgets we forgot, area maps, a spotting scope (which we used to observe the Super Moon, what a treat!), and many other creature comforts.
The home is located on a beautiful piece of land with trails that wind and meander... there's even a downed tree-turned-bridge over a crystal-clear brook. One could spend all day out there! We traveled to this home with our 6 year old daughter and her grandparents from Arizona. Our daughter slept up in the loft area and she LOVED it! Her own secret hideaway. The adults had ample space to spread out and relax in the two main bedrooms, both with fantastic views. We didn't spend too much time out on the (huge) deck, but we did admire it and decided we'd do some grilling next time so that we could enjoy that awesome space.
The owner Paul was super gracious and incredibly helpful! We had a couple gaffes (like locking ourselves out after a walk) and Paul came to our rescue right away. He is a wealth of knowledge regarding the surrounding area - from restaurants and pubs, to hikes and special drives - he had recommendations specific to our group, which was awesome.
My husband and I plan to go back soon and often! You cannot beat the location of this home, and its' proximity to the year 'round fun to be had in the White Mountains.
This is a fabulous house very well equipped and comfortable.Owner Paul was very helpful with information about the house and the surroundings. There was a very generous welcome pack which was much appreciated.
We were two retired couples from the UK touring which meant we did not have time to use the fire pit and explore the surrounding forest trails. We would certainly come again and would stay for at least a week.
We were a party of three adults visiting from the UK late July/early August. We were very impressed with the house; it had absolutely everything you could need during your stay. Paul was extremely helpful and met us on arrival; he was very friendly and happy to answer any questions going out of his way to make our stay comfortable we had about the area. We really enjoyed the fact that the house although so close to the main shopping area, felt private and the views from the back of the property and the outside seating area were fantastic. The luxury of being able to sit out on the decking and watch the humming birds and the proximity to the wild trails right behind the house was great. We also enjoyed the fire pit and seating area at night, which Paul kindly set up for us.
Would definitely recommend this property for a stay in North Conway and would love to visit again during winter
Everything was as advertised and exactly what my family wanted. walking distance to the train, splash park, shops of North Conway and the woods. Paul had everything anyone would need including fishing gear, fire pit and kayaks. The house has it all too, no need to bring a car full a kitchen stuff, blankets or towels. Owner was super communicative and responsive during our stay. If you have a small kid, bring a baby gate for the loft stairs.
House was just as described in profile. Paul was very friendly and right there if needed. Very clean and a great set up, very private and great views. Went for ski weekend, 2 couples, and the house fit us perfectly. There is a great loft area if traveling with kids. Only warning, as described, is that it is on the second floor, but with a wide and clear stairway. Very close to No Conway center, walking distance, but need to cross a busy street. Would surely recommend!
This house was perfect for me, my wife and our two kids. It was very clean, well furnished and supplied with everything that you need for fun in North Conway. I only wish the weather was better so that we could have used the fire pit and hiking trails (it was -5 degrees when we were there, but the house was always warm). You cannot beat this location - it is so close to downtown, but also tucked away in the woods. The owner was very nice and took the time to show us where everything was. I will definitely be staying here again!
