Located just off Sag Harbor's storied and picturesque Main Street, The Watchcase Factory is a thoughtfully articulated "village-within-a-village." The restoration of this historic factory building was done with world-renowned Beyer Blinder Belle Architects.
Their collaborative design preserves the building's character, including its old-growth southern yellow pine beams, intricate original brickwork, and restoration of the original cornice. The Watchcase Factory is located within one block of Main Street and 5 block from the Yacht Club of Sag Harbor.
This second floor loft was specially designed by top New York designer John Barman keeping the original feeling of the factory. It has 3 full bedrooms all with en-suite full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king size bed, the second bedroom has two twin beds and the third bedroom has a queen size bed. All bathrooms are in marble and include spa showers and olympic size bathtub in the master bathroom. The original bricks are exposed throughout the living room and dining room. All windows face the picturesque town of Sag Harbor. The kitchen is a cook's dream and it has all the latest equipment including a wine cooler. The residence also has two balconies facing the private garden and the two of Sag Harbor.
Resort-style amenities and services in the building include:
- Concierge services
- Doorman and resident superintendent
- A "house" driver for the summer season
- Outdoor heated pool (60' x 24') flanked by a dynamic,
all-seasons, landscaped central courtyard
- The Watchcase Pavilion with fitness room,
yoga/aerobics studio, locker rooms with sauna and
steam rooms, spa treatment room, and a large lounge
with fireplace and catering kitchen for private dinner
parties and functions
- Poolside chair and towel service for the summer season
- 2 designated parking spaces , all fully concealed underground plus ample parking in the driveway
- Private storage
- Fully-managed household services including cleaning service every day upon request
Sag Harbor and the surrounding areas have changed dramatically from the old whaling and industrial days, although the village continues to honors its history with strict preservation and zoning laws that help keep the area’s old world charm intact. What was once simply a “Main Street” business district has expanded throughout the village, with merchants setting up shop up-and-down Bay Street, on Madison, Water, Rose and Spring Streets and, of course, along Division Street, which divides Sag Harbor between East Hampton and Southampton Towns.
Great location. Awesome decoration,we had an awesome family time!
The place is located at a walking distance of Main Street, the repurposing of the factory gives the space a unique feel of both modern and homey styles. The decoration makes the place even more enjoyable and all amenities are thought through to improve the experience so that it truly feels like a home away from home.
Spa showers are a plus for relaxing at any time of day after going out around town. Kitchen is great for trips with friends and family: everyone can participate and every meal turns into a fun event to spend time together.
The host is very diligent and receptive to all inquiries of the place and its surroundings. All in all a great break, great place to stay and amazing memories to be made in this place!
