This recently upgraded home is perfect for the large family on a budget. It's packed with features the family will love, like a newly renovated kitchen, a pool table, an air hockey table, and a new, sheltered outdoor fire pit overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains and Lake Fontana.

Recently renovated, the home features a redesigned fireplace, new carpet, and updated furniture in a number of rooms. However, the focus of the renovation project was the kitchen. Beautiful new cabinets, granite countertops, and all new stainless steel appliances, including a separate wine refrigerator in the newly created wet bar space, highlight the labor of love which went into this project.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, bath with jetted tub, 42" plasma TV, and private deck with a spectacular view of the Great Smoky Mountains and Lake Fontana. Two of the other bedrooms each have one queen-size bed. The fourth bedroom has a full-size bed. There is a futon in the game room and a sleeper sofa in the living room.

The outdoor space is ample, and you can take in the magnificent view from the multiple decks, hot tub, and newly built, sheltered, outdoor fire pit. Gather the family around the fire pit, and keep your favorite beverages and "fire food" ingredients handy and safe from the elements and woodland invaders by placing them on the fire pit shelter's convenient shelf. Additionally, there is a newly installed gas fire pit on the back deck which the family can also enjoy (not currently pictured).

The location between Fontana Dam and the village of Stecoah just off NC-28 makes this a great base camp for driving tours of the Cherohala Skyway or a family tour of the Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest. You also have an easy trip to either Robbinsville essentials, or the Bryson City attractions like the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad, Deep Creek, and Nantahala Outdoor Center.

The road to the cabin is paved for the steep part then gently sloping gravel to the parking at the end of the driveway. There is plenty of parking in front of the cabin. One bay of the garage is available for guests.

*If the number of people in your party exceeds the "Sleep in Beds" number for the cabin, there will be an additional charge of $10 per night for each person over the "Sleeps in Beds" number up to the "Max sleeping" number.*

Amazing property ! We came here all the way from New Jersey to visit Tail of the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway and Smokey Mountains as well ! the layout of the house fire place, hot tub, play room downstairs and of course fire pit outside and many more If you love nature and some quiet this is the place to stay ! We were a group of 10 totally loved it !
The house was very nice. There had been a storm a couple of days prior to arrival, and there was a tree across the driveway when we arrived. The managing company had obviously not checked the place out prior to our arrival. The front door was standing open when we arrived as well. We left 4 messages with the managing company about these issues with no return call. It is fair to say that we arrived after business hours on a Friday. We cut the tree out of the way ourselves. The house however, was very nice, and completely as advertised. If you are pulling a trailer, do not attempt the driveway. It is totally manageable, but not with a trailer. We very much enjoyed our stay, and I would certainly stay here again. It is a nice, private setting, with all the comforts of home. Our vacation was primarily to enjoy the lake. The Fontana Village Marina rents boat slips, and is only 6 miles from the house. Given the driveway, this was a huge help for our stay, to be able to leave the boat at the marina. A bonus, was that all of their slips are covered and have power, washdown water, and a fuel dock. The house sleeps 8 in beds, the rest are on couches. Again, everything in the photos was as advertised, and the house is very nice. I think the management could have been more responsive. Even still, we stayed an additional night over our original booking, (there were no issues reaching management for that part), and we had a very nice time. I would not think twice about booking here again in the future, and would certainly recommend this location to others. The storm was no one's fault, but i was disappointed the house had not been inspected closer to our arrival. It is not comforting to arrive at your destination to find the door standing wide open, and the driveway blocked by trees.
