This house is all about being right on the water. A seawall provides protection from waves at high tide. At low tide, the beach is calm and well protected by an extensive reef off shore. Due to its unique location(see map) the beach is quiet and secluded. Creature comforts include: Mini-split air conditioner, WiFI, and wireless Sonos music system that streams pandora music of your choice with a touch of a button. TV shows and movies streamed via Netflix. Lighting is all dim-able low voltage halogen so you can create an atmosphere to suit the moment. Bedroom features a pillow top King bed with plush hotel quality sheets and overhead ceiling fan. Tiled shower with luxury towels. 2 single futons(folding- 6 inch foam mattresses) complete with sheets, pillows and comforters for extra beds on the floor in the great room.(great for kids) These are meant to be folded and stacked during the day. Large ceiling fan in the great room circulates the cooled air. With the air conditioner, you can keep the windows closed to minimize road noise. Off shore breeze keeps mosquitoes at bay. Portable gas barbecue for grilling on the patio. Fully stocked kitchen allows you to eat in and feel at home.
Favorite things to do: 1) Greet the morning with a cup of coffee on the lanai and watch the sunrise. 2) Go to a new beach every day. 3) If you don't mind a bit of traffic around Sunset beach and the sea turtles at Laniakea AND you need to cool off - take a drive to Haleiwa for shave ice and a stand up paddle board lesson. 4)Explore the road less traveled, south towards Kaneohe-Kailua area all the way to Waimanalo beach.
Other than that, sit back and relax in your own private slice of Hawaii. Aloha!

I grew up on Oahu and we go back every year to visit family and friends. We have rented several beach homes over the years but our favorite memories are from small places right on the water. We bought this place with those memories in mind. The lack of crowds and local vibe makes us feel like we have come home.
Jeffrey Bell purchased this house in 2011
The North Shore was always a favorite place to hang out. But I rarely ventured out to Hauula, because it seemed 'too far away' from it all. Now, 30 years later, 'too far away' is a good thing if you know what I mean.
The beach area is secluded due to its private location. Feels more like a home with neighbors unlike a resort destination. Plenty of food nearby- Tamura's market and local eats. Papa Ole's serves the best loco moco and the Hukilau Cafe in Laie is great. Romy's shrimp shack in Kahuku is a must do. Favorite North Shore beaches up the road include Waimea Bay, Sharks Cove, and Three Tables; or drive south to Lanikai in Kailua.
Close to Polynesian cultural center and Kualoa Ranch.
It was perfect..nice and cozy for us!
We loved the ocean view in the room and living room!
The perfect honeymoon place for me
We had a wonderful time at a beautiful ocean front house! Hope we can revisit in the near future!! Thank you so much, Jeff!! ALOHA & MAHALO ;)
Had a awesome time at this ocean cottage I call Hale Honu( house of sea turtles). Beautiful sunrises every morning . House is very clean and the vibe by the ocean is unreal, and your close to so many world class beaches.Check the shed on the side it has some water shoes and mask and snorkels we left and xtra water shoes. You can put a ladder down and swim out back, in the winter be cautious their is a channel some distance to the right that has a current that pulls you out toward the reef. Jeff the owner always responded quickly when I had a question. I'm definitely coming back 👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼👍𣐼
Nice little house right on the ocean. Well appointed from both a practical and aesthetic perspective. Due to a cyclone passing by the island, there were frequent showers, so we didn't get to enjoy the terrace as much as we would have liked. That made the glass walled living room a nice alternative. Did enjoy the crabs at high tide and one afternoon a large school of needlefish hung around right below the seawall. Opposite Honolulu in more ways than one and much quieter even than the traffic in Kaneohe. Easy access to everything on the windward and north shores, and a 40 min. drive to Pearl Harbor. Few restaurants nearby, even fewer open for dinner. The club house at the Turtle Bay golf course was good, reasonably priced, and close to a public beach good for snorkeling. Car port kept the car cool, but you need to be careful of the beam on the right end of the roof getting in and out of the car: hazardous if you're over 5'6. Only real down side was that given the heat and the very high humidity associated with the storm, we were not able to get the A/C to cool the bedroom adequately.
Let me say that, working with Jeff was great! His response was quick and answered questions that I had right away. The Hauula house was everything we expected it to be! the view of the ocean was amazing and everything we needed was there in the house! We thought that we would miss out on having regular tv stations in the house, but who goes to Hawaii to watch tv!! The bed was great! and my son didn't even mind sleeping on the futon. The house was very clean and well maintained. Tamura's and Foodland's were in close proximity of the house and we ate at Papa Ole's more than once!!
I already miss sitting out back watching the fish, turtles and crabs!! and hearing the ocean. I definitely would recommend staying in this Hauula house to my family and friends! Thanks Jeff and Sheri for sharing your wonderful home with us!

I just returned from a brilliant stay here and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, well appointed, modern beach house with fantastic views and access to the ocean. Its actually larger than the photos would suggest, with more than ample room.
The only (minor) negative is that the windows to the back patio from the living room cannot be opened at all - so rather than a seabreeze whilst relaxing inside, you must have the AC on - but if you set up outside instead of in the living room, you cannot hear the sound system.
Apart from that, it is well located with shops and restaurants nearby, an easy commute from Waikiki/HNL, well maintained, quiet un-intrusive neighbours and really just a little slice of paradise to relax, recharge and unwind.
