Beautiful Victorian built in early 1900s, with original hardwood floors, windows, and so much more. Unique to this house is the basement level which features more modern architecture with concrete floors, and bank of large windows to enjoy the back yard. House features 3 large bedrooms, with 3 living areas, full kitchen with appliances and 2 scenic decks. Backyard is landscaped and provides privacy. Most of all, location is walk away from downtown, restaurants, bars and shopping.

This house is very sentimental for us, as we took a year and a half to restore this former abandoned house back to the architectual integrity that was the Victorian era. Each phase of the renovation made us fall more and more in love with this house and what it represented. We are very please to share this property with others so that they may also experience what we know... this is a very special house.

Austin is such a dynamic, energetic and fun city, being downtown is where its at. The vibe one gets from being on the Eastside is truly unique. There is so much to do just within walking distance or a short drive. UT games, SXSW, Austin City Limits Festival, Zilker Park, 6th street, Congress Avenue, Town Lake, and so much more.

What makes this house unique

The Texas State Cemetery is just a stone's throw away. This is not a traditional cemetary in any way. It is more a park with a pond, rolling hills and lush landscaping.

Sharon's home is beautiful and wonderfully located. Coffee on the back porch and the beautiful Victorian architectural details were highlights. Check-in and out was easy, and Sharon offered great recommendations on yummy places to eat in the area. Pictures shown are exactly what the house looks like and more. Next time I'm in Austin, I don't want to stay anywhere else.

House is so much more than what you see on the site! Love it.

Great house, we loved the spaciousness of house, amenities were all there- clean sheets, tidy, fully stocked kitchen, lots of towels, toiletries , etc. Location is right in the heart of downtown. Walk to everything, lots of restaurants, bars, shopping and entertainment. The house is so homey and we enjoyed it. The pictures don't do it justice!

Beautiful house and ideal walking distance to east Austin attractions

Everyone spent their first 15 minutes walking around and marveling at the architecture and design touches of this charming place after arriving. It has plenty of bedrooms for a larger group and is a terrific location for walking to east Austin food and nightlife locations. Highly recommend for people visiting Austin and a spot I'll be looking to book again in the future!

Can't beat the location!

Excellent location. You can very easily walk to any one of a number of great pockets with bars, restaurants, food trucks, etc (especially E. 6th, E. 11th, and even Rainey street is only a 20 min walk).

The house is old school, which is no doubt part of the charm and allure for many. It does, however, result in a "less than modern" floor plan in that it's not very open with a lot of segmented rooms (living, dining, etc). That said, we did most of our hanging out in the kitchen which worked perfectly fine for our group of 7 or so.

We had a bit of a wrinkle when we first checked in on Friday in that we set off an alarm (there was nothing explicit in the check-in instructions about needing to disable an alarm upon first entering). However, I simply called the owner on her cell and she immediately answered, gave me the alarm code, problem was swiftly resolved, and we could go about checking in as normal. I should also mentioned I needed to check with the owner about something when checking out, and she also quickly got back to me on my mobile. The responsiveness was greatly appreciated!

All in, we had a fantastic time and the prime location will work extremely well for any groups that are looking to have several excellent dining and entertainment options within walking distance.

Excellent home

I really injoyed my stay at this house. The house is very clean and well kept. It's an older house but it's very beautiful and it looks like there are still a lot of original pieces there. We were very comfortable and felt very safe our entire stay. The location is great, very close to everything. I will always consider this house first when I come to Austin. I am very pleased with our choice. Thank you Sharon for giving us a great experience.

No surprises, definitely looked as pictured. Street is quiet and everything is really close by. All rooms were tidy and spacious, wi-fi kept us conveniently connected. Easily accommodates 8 and the living areas beg you to sit down, relax, and enjoy a bottle of wine among friends ... priceless.

On future trips to Austin we will always check this availability first, before considering other accommodations. Thank you Sharon for keeping Casa Olivia available for vacation rentals!

Perfect!

Couldn't say more about this cute house. It is in a great location and walking distance to just about everything we wanted to do. quiet street and great little porch out back to have a drink or 2. Sharon was also very helpful and responded almost right away when we had questions. If you're lookin for a good spot and place for about a group of 8, this is the perfect spot! Can't wait to go back to Austin! Thank you Sharon
