My family has been coming to Ridgway for over 40 years! We love to get-away from our lives cities to be in the sunlight, air and incredible mountains of the area! Sometimes we come for family time, sometimes time with friends. We wish we could be there more often...but now we can share it.

Why Owner chose Solar Ranch
Ridgway is a perfect location : private enough to keep it a little bit secret, but close to Telluride, Ouray, Durango, Montrose and the majestic San Juan Mountains. There is hiking, biking and skiing for all levels. There are public hotsprings for families and private springs for couples. Telluride offers a film festival, music festivals and some of the best skiing in the world! My grandfather found the house in the 1960's and we've loved the area ever since!

Loved the clean and warm home.
The house was lovely. Only thing we would change... please add a ladle to your kitchen. We made soup and had to dish it out with a gravy spoon. 😀
Glad you enjoyed the house. And if the only concern is that we need a ladle, great! That's an easy thing to solve. Come again and you'll find one there!
Great house in a great location!
The house was perfect for us. It had plenty of room, a nice set up and a nice yard with grill for steaks. It is just a couple blocks up from breweries and restaurants and the neighborhood was quiet. I would recommend to anyone!
A GREAT stay !
My family had a great time on our CO vacation. The Blue House was centrally located to all our destinations and was a wonderful place to stay. The kitchen had all we needed for home cooked meals. Ridgway was a nice town and we really enjoyed looking at all the True Grit landmarks and watching the movie on the DVD at the house. We found the field where John Wayne (aka Rooster Cogburn) had the gunfight against the 4 outlaws. Highly recommend this location. The caretaker nextdoor was also very nice & accommodating.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the stay and your time in Ridgway. Thanks for the great review. And I'm delighted that you watched True Grit and took in the sights. My grandfather was a (small) extra in the movie and we love to find his face in a crowd scene each time we watch. Come again!
Possibilities within the region while staying at sweet place.
We loved it.
Lots of opportunities within the region (hiking, swimming, drives, etc.).
Town is not overrun with tourist but still has a lot to offer. John Wayne would have know (True Grit was filmed in the town park).
Very cute and roomy house in a great location
We stayed here for my wedding weekend- the house was great for multiple girls to get ready in as well as a great mini-escape for my husband and me afterwords. You can walk anywhere in Ridgway, but the house also has everything you need. Loved it!
So glad our house worked well for such a special event! We're happy to have played a small part of a big moment. Congratulations to you both. And since you're local, if you're ever looking for a mini anniversary escape, the house will be here!
Lovely New Years Respite
Enjoyed staying at this comfortable house in the town of Ridgway. Everything one might need. Comfy bed, zoned hot water heat, a cozy gas stove, hot water, and a fully equipped kitchen. Communication with the host and property manager went smoothly, and we'd stay there again.
