Beautiful cabin in the mountains, would definitely stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

The location is great! The cabin is beautiful and sits up on a ridge. The deck is awesome! It has a gas grill, a swing and several rocking chairs.

The directions provided were excellent. I advise that you arrive in the daylight, at least the first time. If you're not familiar, the driveway is easy to drive right past, like I did. Once you get your bearings and know where it is, it’s no problem. And, the driveway is paved, and not as long as I had imagined. It’s a bit steep, but completely doable. We had two low riding sports cars and a Prius that all made it up and down the driveway without any problems, even with my teenager driving.

Love the black bear motif throughout! It looks new and is very clean. The kitchen is well appointed. I especially liked the heavyweight feel of the glassware and mugs! It is stocked with everything you need. The washer and dryer came in handy as we stayed 5 nights and had lots of sweaty clothes from hiking.

The beds, sheets and towels are clean, soft and comfy!

We especially enjoyed the hot tub after a strenuous day of hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains. Ahhh! So relaxing for our sore muscles. It is not on the deck, as I had imagined. It’s just off to the side of the cabin with a walkway leading to it. The hot tub looked new, was clean and I especially liked the colored lighting feature.

There’s a DVD player with a cabinet full of DVDs to choose from. And, there are plenty of games to play.

Upon arrival there was a maintenance checklist, so I knew someone had come to check things out prior to our arrival.

The first morning we woke up and there was an AC maintenance team standing by outside. They were so quiet that we did not even know they were there! They waited to begin their work until we woke up so that they would not disturb us. Very considerate!

In all, it was a very positive experience and when we make it back to the Great Smoky Mountains this cabin will be at the top of our list! It’s convenient to Cherokee, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and, of course, Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Great Spring Break Cabin

  • 5 of 5

I rented this cabin for my 3 friends and I for a spring break trip to the Smokies. Because of the likelihood of snow in the Smokies in March, I would definitely recommend staying in a cabin verses tent camping.

After a long day of hiking in the snow, it was nice to come back to the cabin's fire stove keeping the cabin warm and ending the night in the hot tub was the icing on the cake.

The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were nice and clean, and the kitchen had lots of room and cookware for making big meals. The grill was even stocked with propane for grilling burgers!

Watershed was very responsive and accommodating to us and even provided us with information on the mountain conditions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an enjoyable getaway in the Smokies. This was by far our most enjoyable spring break trip!

Awesome weekend getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

We were pleased upon arrival to Laurel Ridge. The cabin was clean, hot tub was warm and it had all we needed and could ask for except NOT enough pillows. We would have liked 4/bed but there was only 2. It'location was perfect, close to everything but the privacy the mountains provide.

Absolutely one of the best places we've stayed.

Thank you for sharing

Very American hideaway in the mountains!

  • 4 of 5

We have had a lovely sojourn at this mountain hideaway cottage! The property was spec and clean, very well maintained; we found everything just as was in the description. The owner was absolutely great and approved our booking instantly. The agent at VRBO was courteous and got the property booked for me in few minutes, I simply took his words for granted when he confirmed that the price through VRBO is transparent and there is no hidden charge whatsoever.

I would greatly recommend this property to anyone with a small family (3-4 peoples) only. The cottage is maintained by Watershed management and I must say ! Ms. Courtney was absolutely great customer service rep. She is sweet, kind and amazingly responsive to any queries I had prior to arriving at the property. There are plenty of attractions nearby in Bryson City. We had a GREAT quality time spent at the cottage! We would surely love to visit it anytime later in life...SO LONG "Laurel Ridge Cabin"...Best Wishes.

Awesome cabin

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful stay in Laurel Ridge Cabin. It was perfect for 2 couples to getaway and spend a relaxing weekend. Cabin was very clean and well furnished. Complete with the perfect touch in decorating and quality furnishings. Loved the large front porch and spent much of our time sitting there even with the unfortunate smoke from wildfires that was evident in the air. It was very close to the casino and Bryson City which we enjoyed. Looking forward to returning soon and staying in the cabin.

Beautiful cabin. Spotless and well maintained

  • 5 of 5

Cabin was very clean and well furnushed. Even the yard was beautifully landscaped. Hot tub was newer, very clean, and hot tub towels were provided. Driveway is steep (most are in area) but paved and in excellent condition.

Cabin has a queen bedroom/ bath upstairs in addition to the queen bedroom/ bath downstairs. Kitchen is nice (loved having a dishwasher) but needs a few more utensils and dishes. Gas grill had a full tank plus a spare : ). Some firewood for fire pit and a starter was provided. Parking was good for area. We had a mid side SUV, 14' trailer, and trike motorcycle. Larger combos may have issues maneuvering up the hill or at parking area. Try to arrive before dark your first night. Driveway isn't well marked and on a curve. Outside of cabin has good lighting and the porch light was left on for us but you can't see the cabin from the road.

Reserving was easy, check in/checkout instructions were very clear but take their advice and look over the cabin as it may take a day to hear back from them. ......The cabin below is also a vacation rental (Rising Ridge Cabin). Our first night they had 20+ people partying, cars parked all over the yard and other cabin's parking areas. When partiers started breaking trees down for firewood we called but didn't hear back until the next day. She was very apologetic but not concerned.

We had no issues with the cabin. Their maintenance is super. Overall a gorgeous cabin !
