My husband, Architect Guy Greenfield designed Nautilus Apartments and won the RIBA award for this building in 2005. I am an artist and enjoy the inspiring sea views, our two children love staying at 20 Nautilus, being so close to the beach, convenient for the town, there is always plenty to do and we all enjoy the amazing sunsets.
Amazing position, across the road from the beach. Outstanding sea views. In the centre of the town restaurants, Pubs and shops only a few minutes walk. Interior designed by the architect.
20 Nautilus is in the centre of the development and therefore has the best, uninterrupted sea views.
What a fantastic property; accurately advertised. Very friendly owners who were approachable and helpful. The apartment was in a superb location, right on the sea front with marvellous views which were ever changing. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday apartment to friends. The surrounding area was beautiful and unspoilt. Not very good eateries surrounding the property so needed a car to travel further afield.
Nice views and the location is great, but a little disappointed as the hot water in the apartment was a constant problem. When you pay a lot of money for a rental you don't expect problems.
My husband and I plus our boys aged 15 and 18 visited this wonderful apartment. We were completely blown away by the spectacular views and enjoyed many an evening watching the surfers whilst playing cards on the balcony. Westward Ho! is great location with many restaurants and lots to do in the surrounding area. We can thoroughly recommend the mountain biking in Haldon Forest and the Kayaking in Bideford. This holiday will live long in our memories, thank you.
The whole experience was a pleasure from initial booking enquiry to the end. Although I was so sad when it was time to depart. I truly had the most perfect short break. Beautiful coastal walks and beach to explore. Lovely bars and restaurant. Entertainment outside on the evening during my stay. Nothing beats waking up to a Seaview and hearing the rush of the waves. I would happily live in the apartment if work would premit.
Everything you could possibly need and more during a break and friendly staff and guests.
Will be back there asap!
Thank you Annabel
We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful apartment with incredible views right next to the beach. The accommodation is spacious, clean and very well equipped with everything you might need and the location is very handy for local bakery, delicatessen and ice cream shops. We hope to visit again soon
We had a lovely holiday. The apartment has stunning views, but unfortunately, for us we felt the apartment was tired, in need of TLC. The photographs on the website, we're obviously taken some time ago.
Westward Ho! is a seaside town a few miles from Bideford and ten miles from Barnstaple, North Devon's main town. Westward Ho!'s main attraction is the ten mile beach which gained 'blue flag' status five years ago. It is host of a range of water and beach sports such as surfing, windsurfing, sand yachting, kite flying and of course swimming to name just a few. The North Devon coastal footpath is accessible from the town and not far away are the picturesque villages of Hartland and Clovelly. A slightly longer drive takes you to Exmoor unbeatable for walking, riding, fishing etc. Famous coastal towns such as Lynmouth, Ilfracommbe and Porlock are also found there. Westward Ho! has all the usual facilities such as supermarket etc. and it has many pubs and restaurants serving good fresh food and the fish and chips are excellent. Instow and Barnstaple have a variety of restaurants and for those seeking something special, The Masons Arms, on Exmoor (michelin star) is well worth the journey.
Other Activities: Blue Flag beach, particularly well known for surfing,Kiteing and sand yachting ,
