Located in the historic town of Haddam, Connecticut on five park-like acres surrounded by nature, The Carriage House is the perfect getaway for discriminating travelers. Newly constructed and completed in 2015, The Carriage House offers approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of luxurious living space.
Climb the stairs to a large deck offering views of Haddam Meadows State Park and seasonal views of the Connecticut River. The deck is the perfect spot for al fresco dining. Enjoy your first cup of coffee and watch the early morning mist rise off the River, observe the eagles and hawks soaring, or watch the sun go down over the hills with a glass of wine on a quiet evening.
Walk through the double French doors off the deck into an expansive Great Room with a soaring cathedral ceiling, two comfortable seating areas, a TV area, fully equipped kitchen, and large dining table. Sit in air conditioned (or heated) comfort and take in the views from the large windows. Or get cozy by the fireplace on a cold winter day.
There are two beautiful bedrooms on either side of the Great Room that are furnished with charming antiques. Each has a queen size bed, large closet, and TV. Both bedrooms have access to the spacious "Jack and Jill" bathroom with its cathedral ceiling. The bathroom is beautifully tiled with marble accents and includes two sinks, one for each bedroom, and a luxurious tub/shower combo offering the option of a quick shower or a long relaxing soak.
Need an additional bed? There is a pull out full size sofa bed in the Great Room for that extra person or two.
The Carriage House is central air conditioned and heated, offers free WIFI, flat screen HDTV,DVD, fireplace (in season), and has a fully equipped kitchen plus a propane barbecue grill.

The Carriage House is newly constructed (2015) located on five park-like acres on the grounds of the historic Nehemiah Brainerd House which was built in 1765. The property sits on a bluff above Haddam Meadows State Park and the Connecticut River. The views are spectacular. We enjoy sharing our little bit of heaven
The property is surrounded by nature. The State Park and the Connecticut River is our backyard. It is a bird watchers' delight....red tailed hawks glide overhead, along with every kind of bird imaginable. The views are spectacular in any season. The Nature Conservancy calls this section of the lower Connecticut River Valley one of the last great places. The property is private and quiet except for the sound of the birds and wildlife.
