Weaverton is a unique log and stone home built in 2002 but was designed as a reproduction from 3 different time periods in the Shenandoah Valley; a log cabin from the 1750's; a Hessian stone addition from the 1800's; and an early Victorian wing from the 1850's. Perfectly and carefully placed on 12 rural acres in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, Weaverton is the result of a dream come true for the designer and builders. The logs were dismantled from a 200 year old bank barn. Stone from the foundation of the barn was used to build the massive stone chimney and fireplace. With attention to every detail, each room in Weaverton tells a story. The large family room on the main level is equipped with a stone fireplace and flooring using historic bricks. Baskets hanging from the overhead beams along with woven rugs bring that special country feel.
The full kitchen is home to custom cabinetry and is spacious for a family gathering. Weaverton is furnished with all your kitchen dinnerware and cooking utensil needs.
The main level master suite has an antique king bed and accompanying drawers/dressers. Connected to the master bedroom is a full bath including large jetted tub, walk-in shower and two seperate vanities along with a dressing area.
The lower level is home to a cozy family room including large screen TV and unique handmade bar with bar stools as well as a full bed.
The upper level contains two large bedrooms. Included in the upstairs rooms are a full size rope bed, 2 queen beds, and a twin bed - all with antique handmade quilts. There is also a full bath on this level.
A favorite spot at Weaverton is on the oversized covered 'rocking chair' porch that overlooks cascading waterfalls and watergardens. The many flower gardens are home to hundreds of brillant daylillies. The watergarden has many different types of water plants including waterlillies and lots of fish. Relaxation takes on a whole new meaning when you are sitting by garden, listening to the music of the water in harmony with the chirping of the birds as you take in the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains off in a distance.
The 2-door detached garage is convenient for parking and has ample room for storage.

Weaverton is a beautiful, cozy home built with exceptional craftsmanship located in an amazingly picturesque location. The outdoor porch overlooking the waterfall was exceptionally relaxing. We enjoyed beautiful mornings and evenings there....rocking and talking the hours away. The house was appointed with everything we needed to make our stay extremely comfortable. Thank you Amy and family for sharing your beautiful Weaverton with us! We'll be back again!
We had a wonderful stay. We especially enjoyed the back porch which gave us an excellent spot to view the nightly fireworks (lightning bug show).
Beautifully decorated, festive, warm and cozy! The perfect place to be with family and friends to ring in the New Year! My family thoroughly enjoyed the grounds and having a fire in the fireplace each evening. The kids ran around the spacious grounds, roasted marshmallows and swam in the Jacuzzi tub. During the day, we were close to many fun natural sites. We visited Grand Caverns, Natural Chimneys and Mount Crawford Creamery. The kids enjoyed feeding the baby cows! My mother and mother-in-law enjoyed the quilt shops and farmers markets nearby. Great, quality time with family! Thank you!
What a wonderful getaway Weaverton is! We planned a multi-generational family gathering for Thanksgiving, with members coming from California as well as the northeast and south. We were a group of 9, and it was close to perfect! The home is so inviting and spacious, and Amy was extremely helpful with suggestions that made planning Thanksgiving dinner from across the country easy. We arrived on a cool sunny afternoon, and the next day woke up to several inches of snow! It was beautiful! We cooked a great Thanksgiving meal, and then spent the next couple of days exploring the Farmer's market, art galleries, wineries and shopping in Staunton. It seemed there was something for everyone. We really appreciated, too, that Amy checked in via text messages to be sure we had everything we needed. We've rented vacation homes often, and all agreed, Weaverton is the best!
We stayed at Weaverton with another couple in conjunction with a trip to and tour of Polyface Farms. The home is beautiful and comfortable and the views from atop the hill were spectacular. What a legacy it is to Amy's parents. Amy was extremely helpful in planning the visit and even met us to show us around the property when we arrived. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer and that we didn't get a chance to enjoy the porch. We did love cooking and eating some of the food we purchased at Polyface in the country kitchen. And, Amy's treats were a nice addition. The town of Staunton was a pleasant surprise - lots of nice shops and restaurants, as well as historical sites. We would certainly consider staying at Weaverton again for future visits to the area.
