It is an older home but well kept and clean. Great boat launch pad and well protected dock. Definitely easiest to launch @ Mid To high tide. We took our 23ft Carolina skiff and felt it was perfect. Its only a short boat ride to sand dollar island, Cape Look out and of course to see the wild horses😊
Perfect location to get the whole Harker's Island experience. Boat ramp is very good and dock is handy, easily managed our 26' boat there. The canal is a short ride to the backside of the island. The home is older, but clean and convenient and very comfortable. We had some issues with the vent fans in the bathrooms and kitchen and a few lights not working - they gave up the ghost just before or during our visit. We reported the problems to the property manager who had stopped in to check on us (very nice people) and I'm sure they took care of them. Otherwise, a perfect vacation for us! We can't wait to go back. Don't forget to stop in to eat at Captain's Choice Seafood, too, you won't be let down.
We had a total of 6 people that stayed here. We were here for three nights and 4 days. The house was very spacious, neat, and clean. We will definitely be back.
Simple cottage features were clearly stated but we felt that some areas were not cleaned very well, such as the refrigerator, and dishwasher did not work. The cottage in general is worn, but the beds slept well. Did not use the private boat ramp and dock, which could be a good feature.
