About Bill and Meg Bromfield
Meg, our three boys and I live in Bainbiridge Island, Washington. In the summer of 2013 we came to the lake for a one week visit to my sister, Kathy Emke. We were skeptical about whether we were "lake people" but, as our visit extended into a second week, we realized we were. During our Summer 2014 visit we were told that the previous owners had moved to Washington State and were possibly interested in selling Finn Inn. We jumped at the chance to purchase our own lake home and closed on the sale in April 2015. Since closing, we have been making changes to meet our family's needs and are hopeful that the upgrades will make the Inn an even better place for our guests to vacation.
Bill and Meg Bromfield purchased this House in 2015
Why Bill and Meg Bromfield chose Gravois Mills
Finn Inn is located in a quiet family-oriented cove where my family can paddle boat, paddle board, water ski, swim, fish and boat. The house is large so it can accommodate our extended families. The house has the charm of the original small, knotty pine summer cabin with all the amenities of a modern day house. The neighbors have lived in the surrounding houses for generations which appealed to our sense of community. The house is also two doors from my sister's in-law's house that they have owned since 1984, and next to the house where my father now vacations.
What makes this House unique
The large, open main level provides a place for everyone to be together cooking, watching TV, playing games, or just hanging out. The second floor rec room is a great place for playing pool, video games, movie watching, or just getting away from the crowd. The wrap-around deck allows guest in the first floor master bedroom to slip outside for a quiet morning coffee or join the others on the main deck. The sun porch provides a panoramic view of the cove and Soap Creek so you won't miss the fog lifting off the water in the morning or the sunset in the evening. Enjoy sitting out on the private beach with a good book while everyone else swims off the dock during the day and enjoy roasting marshmallows in our fire pit in the evening.

Perfect home for the entire family!
There was something for everyone. Comfortable home that exceeded our expectations and was enjoyed by all!
Wonderful house on the lake!
This is our second stay at Finn Inn, our first was 3 years ago. We live in Denver and both times we road tripped to this beautiful location with our teenage boys and their friends for a week of skiing (we rented as the house has a slip available), fishing off the dock, and paddle boarding. The house is perfect, and we really love the lake decor in the house!! Everything was there that we needed, trash bags, spices, etc, so we weren’t running to the store for every little thing. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Loved all the small finishes touches in the home and the many lake toys available for use.
7th year at Finn Inn & still lovin' it!
We love coming to the Finn Inn every year. The home is very clean, great decor and fully outfitted with everything you need - pots, pans towels, games, lake toys, etc.! The owners are very quick to respond to any question and are even bringing us part of our sailboat we left behind! We are getting ready to book for next year, before the calendar fills up.
Our Family Getaway
This was our second stay at Finn Inn, and we loved it just as much as the first time! Great quiet place to unwind, and we had tons of fun with our adult children and grandchildren. Perfect accommodations for 6 adults and 3 small kids. We love the quiet peaceful cove and the kids especially enjoyed the shallow beach area this year. ( Great for the little ones) Thanks so much!
We are located between Gravois Mills and Laurie on the West side of the Lake close to Captain Ron's annual Shootout, and many poker runs throughout the summer. This a central location with many restaurant/bar facilities within two to seven miles by water. Swimming, water skiing, parasailing, caving, eagle watching, HaHa Tonka park, hiking, museums, water parks, Bagnell Dam Strip, and golfing are just a few of the many attractions you will enjoy here.
