Clean and well maintained

  • 4 of 5

Not a lot to wow you but it was just what we were looking for. A clean comfortable place to stay. The outdoor area was great. Had some issues with the wifi but we were able to get them resolved. Really enjoyed our stay and would do it again.

Great retreat

  • 5 of 5

Had a group of 6 friends go here for a quiet bachelor weekend my friend wanted to have. Plenty of space for all. Loved sitting outside around the fire. A short walk or even take the shuttle to the resort for golf. We cooked steaks on the grill the final day.

Only thing that went wrong during our trip was the days leading to out stay, there was a storm that fried the cable and wifi. TV was fixed by maintenance on Saturday morning. WiFi could not be fixed but it didn't damper our spirit.

Owner was very helpful and quick with questions I had about the property leading up to my stay. This is a great spot to get away with friends and family in any season.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the nice review even with the router being done in by that storm!

very good

  • 4 of 5

It was very roomy, in good condition, and everything worked! My only suggestion would have been to upgrade the frying pans, pizza pan, and cookie sheet. Also, a suggestion, provide a list of kitchen essentials to bring, i.e., aluminum foil, plastic wrap, plastic bags, paper towels and napkins, dish soap.

Perfect for our girls getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

We loved it! I rented this for a weekend of girl fun with my girlfriends, and my grown daughter and her college-aged friends. The house was clean and had plenty of room for all 10 ladies! Having A/C was nice and the hot water heater seemed to keep up the best it could with all of us ladies. The younger generation got the whole basement and really seemed to enjoy the tub from the giggles heard upstairs! The house was well stocked with plenty of linens, etc, including firewood, which was much enjoyed.

The location was great for us, centrally located between Traverse City and Frankfort. Unfortunately, mother nature did not cooperate with us for some hot and sunny days at Lake MI as we had hoped for, but we made the best of it. We enjoyed shopping in both Traverse and Frankfort, visiting local wineries, hiking some of the local trails, and even watching the sunset from the top of Crystal Mountain!

The only things that could have made it better would be a better quality blender in the kitchen, and it would have been nice to be left some dishwasher soap but no one seemed to mind washing the dishes by hand. Perhaps we will do it again next year!

Owner's Response: Thank you for the good review and feedback. There should always be dishwasher soap pods underneath the kitchen sink directly to the right of the dishwasher. Our cleaning person confirmed that there were some there and even sent me a picture (I wanted to confirm that there were some there!). Perhaps they just got missed? Also, I will look at the blender the next time we are there.
