Welcome to Stillwater on Graham Lake.

Whether the goal of your getaway is to relax or have an outdoor adventure, you can find it all at Stillwater.

This pristine lakefront house has all the amenities you need, including high-end linens, towels, and bath amenities such as organic shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion; a kitchen with a microwave and a full-size refrigerator; a laundry room with washer and dryer; high-quality well water; and home entertainment options such as high-speed Internet/Wi-Fi, an Apple TV, and a DVD player. When you want to have fun outdoors, you have access to a hot tub, kayaks, fire pits, and a propane grill.

Watch for loons, eagles, and other wildlife on the lake from the large windows in the open-plan kitchen, dining room, and living room. You can also enjoy lake views from the two bedrooms. The house is located in a very quiet area on 10-mile-long Graham Lake, giving you a great sense of seclusion without having to travel too far off the main road.

Enjoy panoramic lake views from the private dock. Swim, fish, take one of the two single-person kayaks or the three-person kayak out for a paddle, or simply relax and read on the lawn. Make dinner on the propane grill, and end your day at the fire pit at the water's edge or the fire pit on the patio—firewood is provided.

Finish your evening by relaxing in the outdoor hot tub and watching the wildlife pass through the yard. In the cooler seasons, snuggle up by the wood stove after a great day of ice fishing.

Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are just under an hour away. Mount Desert Island offers an endless array of activities for those looking for romance, those hunting for adventure, and everyone in between. In Acadia National Park, visit Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, and Otter Cliff. Take a drive up Cadillac Mountain to see the sunrise or sunset, and enjoy great dining in Bar Harbor.

Great Week with the Family

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great week at Stillwater. The house is immaculate and attractive and has water views from all the first-floor rooms. The owners have provided the extra touches to make this a comfortable home away from home. The kayaks, hot tub, movie collection, comfortable tv viewing couches, internet, and well-stocked kitchen make this a comfortable vacation accommodation. We used the house as a base and explored the areas from Acadia, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Castine to Aurora. Each night we enjoyed the movie collection that has classic titles. Great house and great vacation.

Second Time Around Beautiful Vacation Spot!!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed the house just as much as last year. We explored more in the area and around Acadia this year. The lake was lovely and relaxing. We may have wished for more sunny days and a longer trip but we look forward to returning again next year.

Fantastic view, fun and relaxing

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a quite, secluded vacation house with an amazing water view and modern amenities - this is the place for you! Tim was awesome to work with; very quick on responses. We had an issue with black hornets and he was on site the next day to take care of it. The river kept our 2 girls (ages 7 & 9) very busy - paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, and row boating. We drove to Acadia 2 times (about an hour drive). We stopped for food in Bangor on the way in and cooked every night at the house. Had s'mores at the fire pit and watched the stars in the evenings. Overall, it was a fun, relaxing vacation we will not soon forget. Thank you Tim!!

An absolutely stunning place!

  • 5 of 5

The house itself is beautiful!!! The area it is set in is breathtaking! Not for from Bar Harbor or Bangor. Plenty of trails nearby to hike. The owner was very helpful and cares about your stay! If I won the lottery I'd try to bye this place that day !! Would come back and recommend it to anyone who wants to see Maine.

Fantastic place for a quiet week

  • 5 of 5

Stillwater was every bit as described and so much more, with everything you would need for a quiet week. The house is well equipped and the outdoor facilities are second to none.

The kayaks were perfect for two 12 year old kids, with plenty of life-jackets for youngsters through to adults. The larger kayak worked well for two adults and the warm summer meant the lake was a pleasure to swim in.

The kids caught plenty of fish from pickerel to various types of bass, most of which were within casting distance of the shore. If you keep casting into the weeds, you will get fish. Licences can be bought from Mariaville town hall (blink and you miss it!), with two lovely ladies able to sell you a week's permit (approx. $45).

Other highlights were the bird life and the lobster dinner in the nearby town.

Overall a highly recommended place to stay.

A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

This house is breathtaking and clean clean clean! We booked late winter for this August vacation. We struggled to find a rental with everything we wanted for the week we needed. Finally we stumbled across this listing. It sounded too good to be true but after talking with the owner, we knew we could not pass it up. The owner was so accomidating and quick to respond. All of the small touches that the owner took such care in leaving for us, were so special! We litteraly didn't need to bring a thing except our luggage and food! We used everything on the property and greatly enjoyed it! The sounds of the loons in the early morning was so relaxing! We were able to see dear, loons, and even a soaring bald eagle! This owner and his property are just what you could ever ask for in a rental! We will be back!
