Sea Esta

The home is all we wanted. A short walk to the water, with great outdoor space as well as a covered cabana for the late afternoon suns that seem too hot.

The kitchen has everything even spices and coffee. The open concept room of living, dining and kitchen overlook the water.

Bedrooms and bathrooms adequate. The lower level is set up as a separate suite, great to get away from the teenagers.

We really loved the outside shower, never showered inside, private and refreshing.. the owner has 3 kayaks for our use.

SeaEsta is with 10 minutes of the best restaurants as well as ISland Farm

The owners were helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had.

Can't wait to return.

G

Fully loaded for fun family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Had a great family vacation thanks to perfectly situated Sea Esta beach house. House comes with two kayaks (one single, one double), beach chairs, 2 boogie boards. Kitchen is fully stocked with a big island that seats 6. Plenty of beach towels, DVDs, Eleuthera beach guide books, and a binder full of the sort of info you need to have a great vacation (bonefish guides, boat rental, car rental, beaches to try, etc) on Eleuthera. Beach house is nicely situated near Ten Bay beach on the Caribbean side, French Leaf beach on Atlantic...about an hour away from the southern point, and a little more than an hour from northern point of island which made day trips to Light House beach and Harbor Island doable. Excellent snorkeling right from the backyard (we brought our own snorkeling gear). Near restaurants in Governor's Harbor and Island Farm market where you can get fresh produce, bread, sauces, etc. Two bedrooms upstairs (with kitchen and living room) and 1 bedroom downstairs with its own living room (need to use outside stairs to access the first floor unit which also houses laundry room and 2nd bathroom). Excellent outdoor space with view of the Caribbean ocean. Owners live nearby and are very helpful and accessible which was great. My family loved this place and already looking forward to returning to Eleuthera and staying at Sea Esta again!

Owner's Response: Jewon Thank you for staying at Sea Esta. Looking forward to your return, hopefully the Atlantic won't be as windy and we can do some deep sea fishing. The coconut is planted at our home and doing well. Toes in the water. Gerry

Peaceful and comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed at Sea Esta for spring break and we had a fabulous time! The house was very clean and comfortable! We had enough space for every one to spread out and not be on top of one another! We cooked many meals in the fully stocked kitchen . The covered porch was awesome to sit around and relax and enjoy the fantastic views while drinking coffee or a cocktail. Pat and Gerry were very accommodating and were there for whatever we needed! It's also the perfect central location for getting around the island. We were very close to the Plant Farm which had fresh bread and pastries every Tuesday and Fridays (but get there when they open or you will miss out), grocery stores and some great restaurants too! We got to see a lot of colorful starfish, stingrays, fish and even a nurse shark while snorkeling out the back waters. We would definitely recommend staying here!!!!

The perfect house for an amazing vacation

  • 5 of 5

Gerry and Pat were the perfect hosts. They had cold beer and a bottle of wine ready when we arrived. A great way to start a perfect vacation. The property that you see in the photos in exactly what you get and even better. The views are spectacular, especially while having morning coffee and evening cocktails from the deck. The house was well appointed with kitchen supplies, towels, beach equipment and kayaks. Most important, the Wi-Fi worked great! Our group included our family of 4, my sister in law and adult niece. The house set up worked great and they had their own space and privacy in the lower unit. We cooked many of our own meals and visited a few of our favorite restaurants(1648 at French Leave resort and Tippy's) We swam, snorkeled and kayaked without leaving the property. One of our favorite beaches is at French Leave where the kids body surfed and had a great time. We have rented many properties and this is one that we plan to return to.

Cannot wait to return

  • 5 of 5

First we spent hours deciding on the Bahamian island to visit and once that was done, we had to decide on where to stay. In the end we chose Eleuthera as the island to visit. Our choice of Sea Esta for a family vacation with our two adult kids could not have been more perfect. Gerry and Pat have a first-class beach house on a quiet road in a spectacular corner of the world. More than just the location, Gerry’s attention to detail made for easy travel arrangements and he familiarized us with island activities to attend and the best local conveniences. Sea Esta had everything we needed and certainly made for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The location is close enough to all the amenities but also mid-island which meant that we were able to explore the snorkeling, caves, and other scenic sites from Current to Cape Eleuthera. We had never visited the Caribbean before, but we will be back and our sights will be set on Eleuthera with a hoped-for return to Sea Esta.

Perfect home and service

  • 5 of 5

We almost hate to give Sea Esta a perfect review - we'd like to keep it our secret getaway in Eleuthera! But the truth is it was ideal for our needs and the owners and caretakers were completely delightful. The home has been completely redone with quality materials and workmanship. The layout was ideal for us. Two queen bedrooms upstairs with bath, kitchen and living area; one queen down with its own living area and utility room. We traveled with our 19 year old son who appreciated the privacy of his own suite and our 8 year old daughter who was right in the next bedroom from us so everyone had the right living space. My only caution would be for families with a number of small children. Access to the suite downstairs is by an outside stairway so if you need to put small children downstairs and unless your kids are old enough to trust with independence this could be an issue. Location is great with good swimming and simple snorkeling right out back. A few minutes to Governor's Harbour and surrounded by the best beaches and snorkeling spots all within a few minutes drive. The owners acquired a third kayak so our whole family could explore together and the local caretaker was totally pleasant and helpful during our stay. Living space is great with several outdoor areas for privacy and a refreshing outdoor shower. This is our second visit to Eleuthera and by far the best. Thanks Gerry and Pat!

Owner's Response: Craig Great to hear you had a great vacation. The layout of the house is one of the reasons we bought the home, great quiet area for a husband and wife downstairs with children up or two separate areas for two couples each having their own space. Please come again. Spread the word but from your comment I think you will keep it a secret. Hopefully we can see you next year. Toes in the water. Pat and Gerry
