The streets are fairly typical of suburban Tokyo and some urban hiking reveals interesting architecture as well as many green spaces.

Many of the larger train stations have lockers big enough for a full size suitcase. Shinjuku Station has plenty of large coin lockers.

Great location, just minutes away from Kabukicho. Near to Higashi-Shinjuku subway station which is not nearly as crazy as Shinjuku. Sam kept in contact prior to arrival which was very helpful. 3 levels to the house, it may be a little tough for folks with bad knees to handle the stairs.

This place is a gem. Centrally located and have all facilities we need. Serve the purpose for travelling accomodation. The only set back is steep stairs, not good for young kids or old people, for us is fine. Thanks for the hospitality!

Wow what a great apartment. Spacious by Tokyo standards and had everything we could possibly need.
Wow what a great apartment. Spacious by Tokyo standards and had everything we could possibly need. Particular strengths - amazing pan-ya (bakery) next door,, very close to metro stop and Kabukicho / golden gai, and a fantastic sento (public bath) just 7 minutes away called Bentenyu. Ash is a great and very organized host which we really appreciate - and kindly accommodated our need for an early check in as well. I would just note the home has 3 levels - not a concern for us but this may be useful info for those who have trouble with stairs. For us it was a perfect home base in tokyo and we highly recommend it. thanks Ash for a great stay!

It was a very nice stay. The house was spacious with more than enough beds for 4 people. We loved the kitchen, and the Apple TV was also a nice touch.
The hosts were friendly, helpful and responsive. Masa, the hosts' assistant, gave us a good introductory tour and explained everything clearly.
The house was a few minutes' walk to the closest metro station.
Would recommend to any travelers in groups of 4-5.

Location is great for Shinjuku!
The subway station is 5 min walk away.
House was clean and comfortable and quiet with a working washing machine. Detergents and soaps provided.
The bakery next door is a sweet bonus!
Masa met us at the house and did a fantastic job of orienting us!
Maybe a bit small for 6 people but 4 people could manage well.
Dinging the host 1 star because there was some difficulty arranging the time and where to meet that caused me a little jet lagged anxiety. Otherwise a great stay.
A welcome pack will be sent to you before you arrive with complete transport information.
