Quiet, peaceful, lovely
I was looking for a quiet place to be together with family for the week and this was perfect. A comfortable cottage with everything we needed, and a quiet spot on a quiet lake. Loved that we could dock our boat there and use it to get into the Belgrade Village. Could even walk to town when I wanted a good workout. Was there with my husband and two daughters in their early 20's and one of their boyfriend, so it was a perfect spot with room for everyone. The walk to the lake is a pretty little path, rocky, but part of the natural setting. The owner's descrpitions of the rental were all acurate with no surprises. There is no wifi in the cottage and for me this was great. My daughters were a little concerned the world would end, but somehow they survived. (Owner is consider installing wifi in the future.) Great new grill for eating out on the deck. The dock by the lake was so peaceful to sit on in the mornings. The week ended too fast.
Great cottage, will try to rebook again
Pros: Clean and beautiful location. 20 min from civilization, sleeps more than advertised with pullout couch.
Cons: longer walk to water but not steep. Could use Wifi...but you are on vacation.
Great idyllic spot!
We had a wonderful week on Beaver Cove, it's a truly beautiful place. Jeff, the owner, was so accommodating, and we lucked out with great weather. The kids loved the magical path down to the water and we spent many evenings on the deck or at the campfire. Would happily return!
Very nice. Quiet comfortable beautiful location.
Only negative was access to the dock was tough due to the low water levels.
Overall experience was great!
Nice camp. Plenty of bedrooms. Secluded but convenient location. May be back next year. I'm
Glad you enjoyed your stay! Yes, the drought this year has made the lake level unusually low. The current level is very atypical.
Nice cottage for smaller people
The cottage is decorated nicely with most of the items needed for a camping experience. Bring your own grill because the one there is not usable. There is a musty smell that can be decreased with the use of fans. The deck is great for meals with most of it semi shaded most of the day. The walk to and from the pond can be hard if you have trouble walking on rocks and roots or if you are not in shape. The dock and deck provide for a relaxing day and even with low water levels, due to the drought, provided for enjoyable swimming.
Thanks for your feedback! While still serviceable, I agree that the grill has seen better days. We will have a brand new one for our guests in 2017! I understand that the cottage does not sit right on the water and hope that I have represented this fully in the attached photos. (I also have factored this into the rental fees.) I agree with you that someone who is in shape will have no problem with the path as I (who am definitely not in shape) and my mother (80 yrs old) have little problem with it.
