Welcome to our home. Our one-level easily accessible home includes a relaxing screened-in porch with a very nice view of the surrounding mountains, a relaxing front porch with adirondack chairs (perfect for your morning or afternoon coffee as you watch the hummingbirds, cardinals and other native birds feast from our feeders), a garage and room enough for two couples or a small family. There are no steps in the home or on the walkway leading to the front door. Our rates are very reasonable for the area. My husband and I are currently living in Mexico where I am teaching at a university. Waynesville is a wonderful town in a beautiful part of the Smoky Mountains. Our location is an in-town location that is convenient to everything. If you send us a message, we can call you from Mexico to answer any questions you may have. Our home is close to the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, and an easy day-trip to Cherokee, the Great Smoky Mountains and Asheville. Asheville is approximately 25-30 minutes away. There are numerous scenic hiking trails of varying difficulties in the area. Waynesville historic downtown includes art galleries and numerous stores featuring the work of local artisans. Haywood's Historic Farmers' Market features local "producer only" produce, meats, herbs, plants and local heritage crafts. The market is less than a mile from our home and is open on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Waynesville hosts numerous festivals and downtown events including downtown Mountain Street Dances, Art after Dark, the Smoky Mountain Folk Festival, the Church Street Art and Craft Show, Folkmoot USA and the Apple Festival. We use the Greenville SC (GSP) and the Asheville (AVL) airports when traveling to and from Waynesville. Charlotte's airport is about 2.5 hours away. We are confident you will love our home. We have a local Waynesville contact who will be available during your stay to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We provide everything you need for your stay including linens, a fully equipped kitchen, sugar, salt, pepper, dishwashing detergent, laundry supplies, paper towels, bath soap, shampoo, and hair dryer. We have Direct TV, high-speed wireless internet and a phone so that you can call us in Mexico without a charge in case you have questions or a problem.
Staying here for our first winter getaway from Ohio and our first experience with VRBO, all went very well. Very nice furnishings and quick owner response time.
Found previous reviews helpful for restaurant suggestions. We tried most of them as well as others and have to say all were perfectly satisfactory. For breakfast, Joey's Pancakes in Maggie Valley is the best! We also liked Nettie's Bakery, Bourbon Barrel Beef & Ale, and hair salon, Salon 432 (Ashley), and they are all very close on Hazelwood Ave. The Cherokee Casino is a very beautiful place to visit too.
The home is lovely and furnished beautifully. It was very clean. We were comfortable and had everything we needed. ( Well , almost. We understood there was a dvd player at thr house and brought some movies. The player mentioned in information is actually just for playing back items saved on the tv)
The owner was quick to respond to our questions.
It is convenient to the charming downtown Waynesville.
Overall it was a great place to stay! Ww enjoyed it cery much. The mountains are breath-taking!
We absolutely loved our weekend stay at this beautifully furnished townhome! Everything was clean and suited our needs perfectly! My favorite part of the townhome is the screened-in porch with the beautiful mountain view! The owner provided excellent customer service! Waynesville is filled with wonderful restaurants and shops! Maggie's Galley is an absolutely delicious local seafood restaurant! I would not only recommend this property, but would definitely love to return on another visit to the area!
This lovely townhouse with gorgeous wood floors, gourmet kitchen, and very comfortable beds has a screen porch with magnificent views of the mountains. Only six units, so it is quiet and private, and just blocks from quaint downtown with all its specialty shops and great dining - Sweet Onion and Bogart's were our favorites. The latter has great bluegrass bands on Thursday. For extended stays, the Recreation Center offers many classes. Great opportunities for theater, hiking, and concerts with all types of music.
We enjoyed our week long stay in your home. The entry was welcoming. I enjoyed watching the birds at the feeders. The bedrooms were nicely furnished, and the storage space was generous. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The living and dining rooms were comfortable spaces.
I believe our favorite feature of your home was the screened porch and the mountain views. We spent a lot of our free time on the porch.
The location of your property was convenient to our activities and I felt safe walking with my dog through the neighborhood. If we are in the area again , we will check to see if your home is available.
I stayed in this lovely home for 3.5 months. It is perfect for a short or long term stay. I highly recommend it as it is a great location, private, very comfortable beds, garage, other great amenities, and lovely screen porch. The owner is great to work with, and overall, I loved my stay at this property in Waynesville.
