Kalispell Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Apartment, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4)

Located at 338 Main Street/Kalispell, Mt. Camas Flats #1 is a fully restored vacation flat in the heart of dowtown Kalispell. Only a few doors down from Kalispell Brewery! and within walking distance from the finest dining, art galleries, coffee shops, specialty boutiques and stores the city has to offer; and just minutes by car from Glacier National Park, Flathead Lake, two ski resorts, miles of hiking trails, and the resort towns of Whitefish and Bigfork.

Camas Flats #1 is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment that sleeps 1-4 people. It is located above the largest yarn shop in Montana, and has been extensively renovated by the owners to be clean, comfortable, and convenient. It is one of three flats on the second floor, all operated as VRBOs.

It has an open kitchen/living area with hardwood floors. The kitchen contains all new stainless-steel appliances. A bar area with four stools lets you dine in style, then you can relax on the comfortable leather couch and chairs while visitng or watching TV. The bedroom has a new pillow-top queen size bed, lots of storage space, and views over the city to the west. The living room couch converts to a queen-sized sofa sleeper. There's a front-loading washer/dryer so you can keep up with the laundry. The bathroom has a large full-tile shower, a wall mounted blow-dryer, and is stocked with large, fluffy bath towels. We have recently added white noise machines in both the living room and the bedroom for your relaxation. They work so well, some of our guests went home and bought one for themselves.

We welcome pets!

Decent accommodations, but loud

  • 3 of 5

The apartment is nice and very convenient (right on Main Street). It's location is also the potential problem as flat #1 is very loud, with constant street noise. Granted, we were warned of this by the owner but the windows block no sound at all (we kept checking to see if they were open). This is not an issue if you don't mind the noise but I could hear cars, trucks and motorcycles even with my earplugs in. The owner should also consider a coffee table and a new shower head. Overall, a newish and clean place to stay, especially if noise doesn't bother you.

Great location but very noisey.

  • 3 of 5

Very nice location in the heart of Kalispel. The street noise is very loud but it is just something that goes with the location. The apartment is very nice and homey.

Camas Flats are great!

  • 5 of 5

Camas Flats are very nicely remodeled and updated flats in a beautiful historic building in downtown Kalispell.

My wife and I, along with our two young boys, had a great stay at Camas Flats. The flat we stayed in was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay (bedding, dishes, etc.). For less than $100 a night it offered a lot more privacy than a hotel.

We had an issue with the a/c while there and the owner arrived and fixed it within an hour.

I would recommend Camas Flats to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kalispell.

comfortable and well appointed

This is our 4th or 5th stay at Camas Flats. The location is perfect, the price is right, and it's clean, comfortable and well stocked.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly

  • 3 of 5

The Good:

Montana

Glacier National Park

Kalispell, Whitefish and the Flathead Lake area

The Bad:

No snow shovel

Traffic noise (especially the snow removal trucks)

No instructions where to empty garbage

Washing machine was damp and smelly and had to be dried out before use

No kitchen towels

The Ugly:

No lights in the kitchen (at all! We had to use the light under the microwave to see to make coffee), so cooking was out of the question.

No light in the shower

4+ inches of snow in the parking lot and on the stairs to the apartment when we arrived and no means of removing it

No return call from the owner when we attempted to contact him

We enjoyed our stay in Kalispell. The area was beautiful and the apartment was ideally located and clean. However it was a good thing we didn't spend much time there since we couldn't cook due to the lack of light in the kitchen. There was quite a bit of snow in the parking lot and on the stairs when we arrived. We were glad to snow was quite powdery; we had to use the scraper brush from our rental car to brush the heavy snow through the steps before we could attempt to climb them.
