We're the Quartaros....Cheryl, Chris our 3 kids and lots of extended family. Traveling is one of our favorite things to do together, so we've been to quite a few destinations. Breckenridge is at the top of our list of the best places, that's why we decided to make it our second home. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do! We appreciate feedback from our guests and look forward to hearing from you.
This is actually our second cabin in the vacation rental market. We also have a 1 bed/1 bath log cabin in the Smoky Mountains called Sweet Sensations at Little Valley. However, that cabin isn't large enough to hold the family...perfect for a romantic get-a-way, but not for the 5 of us. Q's Breckenridge Hideout is our family vacation destination!
Cheryl Quartaro purchased this cabin in 2015
We were looking for a list of features: land, water, view, privacy, easy access, 3+ bedrooms, large outdoor living space, one story and within 10 min of Breckenridge. We saw this gem and immediately put in an offer!
For a summer stay, the creek and deck are incredible. There are some parts of the creek where you hear nothing but the roar of the water...very relaxing. Plenty of snow in the winter to romp around in, build a snowman, or even an igloo. A full acre of land provides the privacy to have a relaxing fun time outside.
The cabin features a stocked kitchen with crock pot, espresso machine, coffee bean grinder, pancake griddle, and full assortment of pots/pans. Multiple humidifiers and 4 zones of independent temperature control.
Q's Breckenridge Hideout was the perfect lodging for our group of 7 friends. While it may not be in the town of Breckenridge (15 min drive), the seclusion and view of the mountains make up for it. Not to mention, the large hot tub, outdoor fire pit, and gas grill were all huge pluses of having your own house. The inside of the home was also very cozy and the amenities were great! The indoor fire place, provided games, chilled beer mugs, and fully stocked kitchen were all fantastic additions! I definitely plan on coming back (and would love to see the view in the summer)!
Fantastic property. Convenient to Breckenridge gondola and Lot F parking(free, easy access to Peak 9 and Breck restaurants & shopping). Also convenient to Frisco. We spent a day at Frisco adventure park and downtown Frisco(great restaurants & shopping on main street). On days that we did not hit the slopes Q's property has sledding right from the back deck, hot tub, and plenty of outdoor space for the kids to run around, make snowmen, etc. House has everything you need for staying in and relaxing. We cooked in several nights and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need.....great single serve coffee maker, I could make my coffee strong. House has garage to park the car, huge benefit on days when it snows overnight; reliable/fast WiFi to get some work done if needed(even has a desk cubby if you bring your laptop); great fireplace that kicks on with the touch of a button. Bedroom/bathroom layout is great for either single or multiple family stay, and the heating system allows area-specific climate control. We stayed during the holidays.....owners even decorated the house for Christmas!! Owners were really responsive prior to rental and had everything ready to go upon our arrival. Definitely recommend the property. Mi Casa(good happy hour) & Breckenridge Brewery were both excellent....walkable from Lot F(free parking). We rented snowboard equipment from Christies. They allowed us to return it to a different location which was great as our last day was spent at Copper Mountain. If you need a break from skiing/snowboarding Carter Park in Breck has sledding(free), Frisco Adventure Park was worth the money(our kids are 8 & 11). When you make your City Market grocery store run, try to avoid 3PM-7PM as you will hit the after ski rush. Q's Hideout has a City Market discount tag on the fridge....definitely use it, will save you $5-10 at checkout.
I would stay again in a heartbeat!
Our family did a quick 3 day stay at Q's Breckenridge Hideout in late October. The house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. No problems hooking up to the Wifi. We enjoyed hanging out by the fire in the living room and playing board games at the big table in the dining room. The decorations were rustic and tasteful, I especially liked the dining room chandelier and the coat "tree". We liked the layout of the house a lot, and it was nice to have 3 bathrooms for our family of 5. I was hoping for a little more seclusion on the acre property. I didn't expect to see the road from the back of the deck or the neighboring house from the side of the deck. That being said, it was still very nice and quiet, and the deck was incredible. It was very spacious with a lovely HOT tub with party lights and cool jets. I also especially liked the heat lamp and being able to extend those chilly outdoor hours by being able to lounge under the light. The patio furniture, grill and fire pit were very lovely and the view was gorgeous. We enjoyed exploring down by the stream, beautiful area and a short drive to the adorable town of Breck. The owner was very easy to work with and we had our deposit back very quickly. We can't wait to return!
The views are amazing and the sound of the creek below while sitting on the deck or in the hot tub made it the perfect place to get away from it all. We loved sitting out by the gas fire pit!! The house was very clean and had all you need to cook if you choose to. We enjoyed hiking and coming back to soak our tired muscles in the hot tub. This place is fantastic!!
This was our second time to the Hideout! Just beautiful and serene. A neighbor we had met kindly came and got us to see a moose family in her backyard! Cheryl and Chris have an awesome place. Everything you need is there. The refurbished fire pit on back porch is a great sitting area after the hot tub.
Hiking, fishing, shopping, skiing, or just relaxing, Q's Hideout has them all within ten minute driving distance. However, the real advantage of this property is the privacy of a 1+ acre of land that includes a creek, numerous waterfalls, a meadow, and plenty of trees. During your stay, you'll have the relaxing feeling of being tucked into the mountainside with the ability to quickly get into the hustle and bustle of Breckenridge.
