We decided to try something a little different this year for Christmas. My family and I rented this amazing spot. From 2 days before when the owner called to make sure I had clear directions for arrival to the fun time spent relaxing, this was a perfect venue. With a great fireplace and the sound of the creek in the backyard it was a very merry Christmas indeed. We will be sure to return!
Mist on the mountains, grandchildren chasing fireflies, looking at the stars, playing in the creek, sitting on the front porch just relaxing - wonderful memories being made at this wonderful rental property! Very clean and spacious - large yard for lots of games and exploring. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home. We will definitely be back!
The place is nice and roomy. Love the back porch you can hang and listen to the creek. We would stay again. The Samuels
We have never stayed at a place other than hotels before this trip. Having a large family with a lot of little ones can make hotels cramped and expensive. Using this trip to try and stay at a house gave us the hopes of having a little extra space. We didn't expect the stay to be so much more than those hopes!
First, the owner was extremely responsive and took great care that our stay was enjoyable. He contacted me before our trip to make sure we knew how to get to his property and locate the keys. When we got to the property, I had to call him late in the night for help in locating the keys. It was a typical dad thing with a bunch of kids and being a little frazzled from a 9 hour trip (4.5 hour drive time and 4.5 hour changing diapers, potty breaks, nursing and eating - HA!) and just having a fried brain. The owner was gracious and made sure that we were situated.
Going in the house was wonderful. It was very clean and we had everything you could imagine. Also, the layout and decor of the home gave it a nice spacious and homey feeling.
The next morning, we were taken by the beautiful view we had of the mountains and trees. Oh my, why would anyone want to leave that view? As you can imagine, a large family consumes a lot of food and cooking is a big thing in our family. The kitchen was large, wonderful and had everything you needed (minus the food but the grocery store was just a few minutes down the road)! Needless to say, we didn't really count on that and my wallet was very happy by the end of the trip. LOL
One other thing I didn't expect was the area. It was a grewat mixture of being out in the mountains with all of the conveniences of home just down the road. The Ingles had tons of organic produce, an incredible salad bar and a fully operational Starbucks (yeah! Dad needs caffeine!). Though we only came down to stay 4 days for a wedding, we're definitely planning for our next trip down there!
Every day all of us work hard and live in crowded city for life, so we need to approach the nature and relax our minds. My family and my friends' family stayed at this sweet cabin and enjoyed ourselves for three days. The cabin is very comfortable and equipped with all that we need to use. All of us felt very happy. Next time when we tour in this area, we still prefer to choose this cabin.
Just a quick getaway with the family for some peace and quite. The creek beside the house was very peaceful to listen to and there was so many stars at night that it was breathtaking.
