About Andy Beeson

My family has a long history in the Town of Breckenridge, being one of the key players in the original development of the ski area. We have always loved Breckenridge, and this house as well.

Why Andy Beeson chose Breckenridge Area

Our family built the house at the time when the ski area first opened-- it was originally made from redwood, but it has been remodeled & updated many times...We love its location as its separated from the hubbub of the ski area, yet the ski area & other amenities are easily accessible.

What makes this house unique

We love adventure in the outdoors in both summer & winter. The short walk to town is also very nice. There are lots of nice hiking and mountain biking trails nearby.

Disappointing

  • 1 of 5

Rating Details:

The property manager was adequately helpful.

The vacation rental was somewhat dirty.

I was very happy with the location.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental.

Reviewer Comments:

House is not well cared for. Heater vents falling off, base boards falling off. The washer and dryer did not work, the dryer had duct taped buttons, dryer hose was not connected. The fire extinguisher expired in the 1990's. We had to buy basic supplies like dish soap, trash bags and paper towels because what was supplied at the house was very minimal. This house, in the shape or is in, is not acceptable or safe for renting.

Exactly what I was looking for. House was a little dusty and trash in garage was never taken out from previous guests, but we made due and enjoyed the stay very much.

Reviewer Comments:

We had family come from New York and Washington DC to stay the weekend and ski. This house was absolutely phenomenal to fit everyone comfortably. The fireplace provides an amazing ambiance in the great room. In addition the games in the basement are another way to enjoy the home. Very close to downtown, about a 10 min walk. Bus stop is right outside of the driveway which makes getting downtown and getting to the ski resort a breeze. Stay here if you are looking to stay in Breck!

Our group of 16 had a great time. The house was well equipped. The pool table, ping pong, and hot tub were all excellent. They were well stocked with paddles, balls, towels, etc. The shuttle station (in the front yard) was also very handy.

Reviewer Comments:

We were looking for a home large enough for 12 people of various sizes, that had a large comfortable great room and kitchen, and would not bust the bank. And this fit our needs perfectly! The kitchen and living areas are very conducive for larger groups to gather and be together. It is also close enough to walk to town (if you can handle about 4 blocks up hill at 9,800' on the return). And we walked to the sled hill for a super fun outing. The home was well equipped, but a bit dated. The beds and bedrooms are quite basic and could use some new linens. And it would have been nice if the home came with some general operating / visiting instructions, as the lighting and heating adjustments were not that obvious. Overall, it was a fantastic place for our family and we would highly recommend it.

Reviewer Comments:

We were so happy we chose this property for our Christmas vacation. We had 10 adults and 5 children and everyone was comfortable. We are a big italian family and cooked every night. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The hot tub was clean and hot. Midweek, upon request, someone came to fill the water level. Showers were always hot, and people downstairs said the water pressure was excellent. One of the best features was having the bus stop right infant of the house. This house could not be more convenient for skiers. Also great to be just a short walk to town. Proximity to Carter Park for sledding was terrific, too. House was well stocked with firewood, and we enjoyed a fire each day. I stayed in the upstairs guest room, and the bed was not very comfortable, but all the other pluses of this house out weigh that small minus. I would definitely stay here again.
