Operations manager for a local business in Fort Collins and future Real estate Agent who's passion is landscaping, I travel when ever possible and love the East coast. I am Originally from Portland, Maine and I have one grown Son who lives in Santa Barbara, California.
It is a great location for families and healthy living. Visit old town where you will find fine dinning, great shopping and breweries. Old Town offers lots of fun events year round.
Each bedroom has its own floor with private bath. You can view the green and all the activites from your front porch swing.
In general the Daffodil House stays very cool even in the summer months because of the lower levels and excellent ventilation. I have installed a air conditioning system in the upper level for future quests.
We were visiting my son who attends CSU. We wanted a place where the whole family (5 of us) would be comfortable and where we would be able to entertain friends as well. Daffodil House fit the bill! Plenty of bedrooms and baths for everyone - the beds were sooooooo comfy. There is a well stocked kitchen and a grill in the lovely back yard. The living areas were wonderful as well - the kids especially loved the reclining couch in the TV room. Close enough to campus and old town, and easy access to Horsetooth and all the Front Range has to offer. The house is also walking distance to my son's favorite restaurant - Everest! They have a fabulous buffet offering many home made Indian dishes. I usually avoid buffets, but this one is very yummy :)
Theresa is a gracious hostess - we lacked for nothing while we were there. We loved our stay and hope to back for more visits.
The place was perfect for our needs, clean and charming. Would recommend for those visiting Fort Collins.
Looks can be deceiving, looks good, owner is a doll, but first walked in and the smell of stale garbage and an old musty scent hit us. House was not filthy but it was definitely not clean, couldn't walk around without shoes, found needle in the carpet, ended up cleaning refrigerator myself just so i could put my water in it. Didn't feel comfortable enough to cook, ended up going out each night, beds were comfortable as all we did was sleep here.
My wife and I and another couple stayed here during our annual pilgrimage to Fort Collins. This house is very centrally located. The basement level essentially offers a 4th bedroom, with two twin beds and a full bath. The mid level bedroom has it's privately attached bathroom and the two upstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. The only flaw is the TV room is rather small, seats about 6 people, and is the only TV room hooked up to cable. The backyard is fully fenced and nicely landscaped. Looked like a home that yard that would look lovely in the summer months when most things are in bloom.
We looked long and hard for a place to rent for the month of January that was near family. The Daffodil house couldn't have been a better 'home away ' from home! Spacious enough for us to have guests, super comfortable beds, updated bathrooms, fully equipped and stocked kitchen 😊 attached garage, wonderful location walking distance to gym and LaMars donut & coffee shop😜 as well as other eateries..... AND located on a quiet 'square ' with friendly neighbors!! What more could we ask?! Oh, maybe a card table to put my puzzle on....and Theresa found one😉
Thank you, Theresa, for welcoming us into your lovely home and doing extra to make us feel comfortable. We certainly plan to return!😘
