has long been defined by boom-and-bust cycles and dramatic population shifts. In the 1920s and 1930s, the neighborhood was the center of the first Harlem Renaissance, a cultural high point in the history of the American black community. In the late part of the 20th century, Harlem experienced a massive building boom. Newer buildings range in size and style from studios to lofts and luxury condos. Harlem boasts many of the finest original townhouses in New York.
There are a growing number of shopping options on 125th Street, and in addition to Central Park, Marcus Garvey Park offers twenty acres of play-space, concerts and events—like the City's Charlie Parker Jazz Festival—between 120th and 124th Streets. Iconic venues like the Apollo Theater draw visitors from around the world. The New York Times recently reported that the population of "Greater Harlem" had grown more since 2000—former U.S. President Bill Clinton moved into his Harlem office in 2001—than in any decade since the 1940s.
Harlem's newest population is refreshingly diverse, made up of residents who enjoy the neighborhood’s history, the gorgeous homes and unrenovated gems, oozing with potential. Subways include the 6 for East Harlem; the 2 or 3 for Central Harlem; and the A, B, C, or D for West Harlem.

This newly renovated apartment one of only two in this building featuring 3 bedrooms, 4 full bathrooms, whirlpool tubs and a beautifull outdoor space. Less than 500 feet ot the NYC subway to take you to all of your favorite spots in the city
We had a great time in NYC. Very easy to deal with - great location. Thanks
This rental was one of our favorites we've ever rented. The location was absolutely perfect. It is one block from the subway on main lines that take you to everything you could possibly want to add in the city. We were 6 adults who celebrated Thanksgivng dinner together. The kitchen was very equipped and the large bedrooms were very nice. We would absolutely stay here again!
I cannot speak highly enough about this unit - it was fantastic. Spacious, clean, well maintained -everything we were hoping for. We were a group of four adult couples staying in New York for a week so to find a place with four bedrooms and four bathrooms was amazing. The kitchen was well appointed - the beds were very comfortable - there was plenty of linen -we could not have asked for more. Steve and Costa were a pleasure to deal with and Steve arranged a late checkout as we all had late flights. This area of Harlem is undergoing massive renovation and becoming quite gentrified. A three minute walk to the subway and a speedy train ride and we were in the middle of downtown NY. A pretty good supermarket about ten minutes walk away. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property and I am so glad to have found it myself. WE all want to return to NY and will certainly come back here.
This was my family's first trip to NY so we obviously we're very naive on where to stay. But we were impressed by the professionalism and helpfulness if the staff to check us in as well as promptly answer any questions we had. The property itself was gorgeous and immaculate. I whole heartedly recommend this property and hope to stay here again when we eventually return to NY
Three couples traveled to NYC and stayed at the apartment. It was perfect! We each had our privacy but also had the living room and outside patio (complete with fire flies!) to enjoy together. The apartment was in excellent condition - everything it was advertised to be. Steve and Cosmos were very welcoming and provided excellent customer service. And the subway was just steps away. We would definitely recommend the property and stay again next time in the city.
A beautiful apartment with the unheard of luxury of 3 BR/3BA right in the heart of a great Manhattan location. May I add there was a dishwasher, washer/dryer and a subway stop 75 yards away from the front door. Lovely outdoor space too. We could not have asked for a better place to stay while in the city!
