Duplex apartment of 90m² with a charming little garden and an equipped terrace of 40m².

Vast vaulted living room with lounge area (2 single beds of 90cm), TV, dining area and open planned kitchen equipped with micro-wave oven and dishwasher. Shower room, toilet.

1st floor: 2 bedrooms with two 80cm beds each.

Central in Nice

The tramway construction in Nice put getting the keys by car challenging especially as the office is on a traffic restricted roadway near the centre of town. Getting into the apartment parking for N. Americans can be a bit challenging as well with the security and narrow ramps. Better directions from the garage to the apartment would be helpful.

The apartment. is bright and spacious with a good kitchen, great living room, private outside eating area, a nook for us computer addicts and the two upstairs bedrooms, one with adjoining bathroom/toilet. The lower toilet/shower is 2 small steps up on the way to the main staircase to the bedrooms. We had a couple of issues that were quickly seen to by our contact.

The location is steps from all the old town stores, restaurants and food stores. The kitchen is well equipped. One can eat in the garden or inside if the weather isn’t accommodating. It is also close to the city bus lines which help you get to some of the attractions that are beyond walking distance.

Light sleepers may be jarred by the church bells at 7 AM. The traditional noon hour cannon is startling no matter where you are in the old city. We spent our week exploring Nice as well as taking day trips to Italy and Monte Carlo.

We vacillated between a 3 and 4 star rating because of cleaning issues in the dishwasher as well at the welcome packages of shampoo etc were partially used and one had garbage left in it. With that being said, the staff did respond quickly and effectively to our concerns and felt a 4 star rating better reflected our overall experience.

Nice is also a wonderful location for exploring the rest of the Cote D'Azur, being centrally situated for visiting Monaco, Cannes, St Tropez alongside all the fantastic rural French villages. The apartment is also less than 1.50 hour drive from the south Alps for those who enjoy mountain walks in the summer or skiing in the winter. Direct flights to Nice are available from all major airports and note that Nice airport is a 10min bus ride away (the bus stops 20 yards from the building). The famous 'Promenade des Anglais' is below your feet, so you can be up for a swim at 9.00am and back for breakfast at one of the (1,000+) restaurants and cafes just outside your door. Use your internet to look up the many areas of interest & outstanding beauty.
