About Torri Warner

We reside outside the area but our mother has lived in the Denver Metro area for 30+ years, so we have had the opportunity to use the cabin over the years. There are only three cabins on our side of the river. Our cabin and the two neighboring ones were built in the 1960’s and have been occupied by the original residents for all those years. Now in their 90s, they decided last summer that a warmer climate year round was best for them. So they allowed us first chance to purchase the property, and we did! You will love the views, fishing, hiking and serenity it provides.

Torri Warner purchased this house in 2015

Why Torri Warner chose Rocky Mountain National Park

We purchased this house in Spring 2015 with the hopes that our children and grandchildren will continue the tradition of spending fun, family time in the Colorado Rockies!

And until we can retire some years from now, we wanted to share this beautiful property with others and hope you make some fun memories with your friends and/or families like we have.

What makes this house unique

Its so relaxing and beautiful here. Each season brings different wild flowers and wild life, as well as changing water levels and flow speeds to the river. There is nothing so peaceful than falling to sleep to the sound of the river and waking to the songs of the wide variety birds that live here.

With lots of parks near by to explore and fun cities like Lyons, Estes Park and Boulder nearby to shop, eat and people watch, it is truly a great vacation or get away spot.

Cabin by the River

  • 5 of 5

There are so many activities at the doorstep to this cabin it was amazing. It may not seem like it when you drive up, but fishing on the river, hiking directly behind the house, as well as hiking up the button rock reservoir (2 mile drive) kept us plenty busy. We almost didn't have time to make it up to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park (we did find some time).

It was very hot (perhaps a little unseasonably highs in the mid-90s which I think is hot for 6400 ft) when we were there and we had wished there was air conditioning during the day, but as long as we kept the windows and shades closed during the day it usually cooled off between 5-7 pm (depending on if it rained in the afternoon). The listing was accurate though and we knew there would be no AC going in. Torri was great to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. We would recommend this place to anyone!

well run with wonderful management

  • 4 of 5

Owner responded promptly and even initiated communications to ensure all was well. Nicely done. The cabin is in a wonderful location on the river at the end of a private road. This very clean and organized place doesn't have the charm of a traditional rustic cabin but it does serve its purpose for a quality get away.

Cozy mountain retreat.

  • 4 of 5

This was a lovely spot. We stayed for almost three weeks and celebrated births and birthdays with our children and grandchildren. Everyone loved the property, river and hiking. For a long stay, the cellservice and wifi was slow and spotty. That and lack of laundry facility were the only drawbacks. Otherwise, it was a beautiful, remote area.

Owner's Response: We are glad that you enjoyed your stay and that you were able to celebrate so many occasions with your family. Unfortunately spotty cell coverage is the price everyone has to pay to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Hopefully it didn't cause you many issues and we hope you return again some day!!
