Great location, near private beach

This is a lovely large house just a couple of houses away from a private beach on Lake Champlain. The house is comfortable and spacious and has everything you need to feel at home. The bike path is around the corner for an easy and beautiful trip into the Burlington city center or north to the causeway. This is a great place to enjoy Burlington's bustle but then to come home to a quiet neighborhood great for dogs and kids.

Would recommend this property to any family(s) visiting The Burlington area. Excellent accommodations and amenities, minutes to downtown, grocery store, beaches, ice rink and bike/walking path. Plenty of things for the whole family to enjoy!!!

Beautiful and Convenient Home

This home in the North Burlington section is lovely. It is extremely spacious with many spaces to read, play, and congregate. It has a large back yard and is ideal for guests traveling with small children as there is playground equipment as well as a toy room. Our party consisted of five adults, and we enjoyed the proximity of the beach and the community pool. The Burlington bike path is just a quarter of a mile from the house and goes both to town (3 miles away, or to a picturesque causeway in the other direction.) My son-in-law and husband used the bikes provided by the owners, and my daughter, who is an early riser, enjoyed morning walks on the path. Burlington is a fun city, with lots of great shops and a multitude of restaurants. There are a number of state parks within an easy drive if you're interested in boating or hiking.

There are a couple of reasons I didn't give this property 5 stars. While the master bedroom is large with a huge walk in closet and beautiful bath there were some problems. The windows did not have any shades. We called the property manager who promptly came over and put up drop cloths on the windows for us. The stoppers in the two sinks in the master bath didn't work. Since there were two hall bathrooms, my husband used one of those when he needed to shave. Air conditioning is very limited and not in the bedrooms. My biggest frustration is with the owner's response time when emailing questions. I have used VRBO/Homeaway for many years and have never had this problem before. It would literally take months at times to get a response.

Overall, as I said, this is a beautiful property with many amenities. It is conveniently located and is ideal for families with or without children.

Great location in a fun city

We booked this property last summer and had a smooth transaction through HomeAway. Sasha, the owner, travels a lot for work, so it was a bit hard to reach him for check-in details - but it all worked out a few days before we were due to arrive. The home has a great open floor plan with the kitchen, dining room, and living room and we all fit comfortably in each of those spaces (6 adults, 1 child, 1 dog). There is also a screened in porch off the living room. The master suite is quite large, with a great walk in closet and bathroom. The other three bedrooms are significantly smaller, though, which was a little tricky for the other two couples. Overall, the house worked well for our family. It was well appointed (kitchen supplies, linens, etc.) though I will say that it could use a thorough cleaning. I'm not super picky about this, typically, but there were lots of cobwebs and dust bunnies around.

We took advantage of the beach access across the street and the community pool - both of which were great! We also walked our dog to the off-leash park (less than a mile away) where she had a blast! The outdoor shower was very useful for cleaning off sandy feet and paws.

Downtown Burlington is about a ten minute drive and we went into town most days. We had great meals and fun people watching, took a cruise on the lake, and visited nearby Shelburne. We also took a day trip to Stowe (about an hour away) for beer and ziplining (not in that order!) ;)

Again, it was overall a great vacation, and we will certainly come back to Burlington again soon!

Beautiful home

This property is a beautiful home. Perfectly laid out for a large family or group. Plenty of room for everyone to enjoy each other or to find their own little nook of personal space. Kitchen is great for cooking large meals and is the center of the home. Screened porch and the beach are great extras.
