Wonderful time in the Marina

  • 5 of 5

Clean & comfy! Close to various restaurants of all types and other fun shopping & attractions. Apartment was pleasantly well stock although we would have liked a box of facial tissues & a way to turn on the light over our entrance which was a bit dark after sunset. Thank you for allowing us to check in a bit earlier than 4 pm, we really appreciated that.

Wonderful Location. Wonderful Host!

  • 5 of 5

We are SO happy we found this gem of an apartment, and even more happy that we found Jacinta! She was so patient with all my questions and responded quickly to every silly question. The apartment was absolutely wonderful. Spotlessly clean. Quiet street. TWO blocks from the Palace of Fine Arts. TWO blocks from the water. Easy walking to Chestnut street with TONS of great restaurants and a really good grocery store. We took advantage of that and cooked for our daughter & her roommate a couple of times. There is only one thing I would change: my length of stay! I wish I was still there - and I can't wait to go back!

Wonderful apartment in a prime location

  • 5 of 5

I rented this apartment this past winter and had a fabulous stay. It perfectly fit my needs: a quiet, roomy, yet cozy apartment. Only blocks away from prime Marina attractions like beautiful Crissy Field, the Palace of Fine Arts, and Chestnut St. Jacinta was a gracious and accommodating host. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for anything more. If I'm ever back in San Francisco I'll be trying to book this again.

Wonderful apartment!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our two dogs spent the fall semester in this wonderful apartment while he was on sabbatical at UCSF. This was the perfect place to spend 4 lovely months. We took so many walks to the Marina Green (two blocks) with our black Lab and her ball (it’s officially on-leash but she is so well behaved that we were able to let her off leash at times) and would marvel at the beauty of the homes in the area. Crissy Field Beach was close enough that on warm days we took the dogs there to swim and play with other dogs (this is officially an off leash area) with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background. The Palace of Fine Arts was also just a few blocks away and my husband walked there every day with our second dog, a Blue Healer mix – he says the Palace and surrounding park grew more beautiful on each visit.

Then in the afternoon, while my husband worked, my time was spent either walking up to the Marina Market and/or Marina Meat Market on Chestnut to find something to cook for dinner or doing some volunteer work online. If we didn't feel like cooking at home we would walk back to Chestnut or Lombard Streets to have dinner at any number of the restaurants there. Some of our favorite places were E’ Angelo (Italian), Mezes (Greek tapas), Parma (Italian), and Tipsy Pig (American), just to name a few. The area is so rich in great restaurants that the only reason we didn't come back home double the size we were when we got there is because we walked so much! There is great shopping too – dozens of unique shops within easy walking distance.

The apartment was larger than we had anticipated being in San Francisco. The outdoor patio area was perfect for our dogs to spend the afternoon or for us to enjoy a glass of wine and the beautiful weather in the evening. The kitchen worked well for us.

As another reviewer stated, there was an issue of soundproofing between floors, but that wasn't an issue very often. That being said, we absolutely loved staying here. I was so completely sad that we had to leave there. If it weren't so far away (we live in South Carolina), we would go back as often as the owners would let us. I can’t imagine staying in another area of San Francisco!

Awesome Location

  • 4 of 5

We stayed in this suite for 9 nights and found it quite comfortable. The location in the Marina district is very picturesque and easy walking distance to the waterfront, Palace of Fine Arts, Fort Mason, and shopping and restaurants on Chestnut and Lombard streets.

The suite was spotlessly clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the private patio. Parking was a bit of an issue, as there is none provided, but in a city like San Francisco, I guess that's to be expected. The only other negative is the a lack of soundproofing between the floors which could be an issue for some people.

We made good use of the kitchen, and appreciated the quality of the essentials provided. There's a great neighbourhood market just up the hill on Chestnut Street where you can buy pretty much anything you could possibly need.

If you prefer to eat out, we enjoyed fabulous dinners an E'Angelo's (Italian) and Mamacita's (Mexican), both just up the hill on Chestnut Street.

This suite is in a fabulous location, and the hostess is very kind and helpful.
