Welcome to 'LimberLost'! Overlooking Mount LeConte and the surrounding peaks, this incredible Gatlinburg vacation rental home is the ideal setting for your next Tennessee retreat. Known as the gateway to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg is renowned for its seemingly endless supply of outdoor activities. With top-notch amenities and commanding views, 'LimberLost' has everything you need for an unforgettable adventure!
Offering 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, this private mountain chalet can comfortably accommodate up to 19 guests, making it a wonderful lodging choice for any travel party, from families coming together for a reunion to couples in search of a romantic mountain retreat. 'LimberLost' was built by civil engineer John Brock back in 1972, when he purchased the entire mountain and kept the most beautiful ridge for his retirement home. It even belonged to Miss New York at one point in time! As soon as you first arrive, you'll head straight for the expansive private patio - a perfect space for outdoor entertaining - to admire the breathtaking Smoky Mountain views. The patio also features a brand new solar heated private swimming pool that you and your companions can utilize in the summer months (weather permitting) as well as a private hot tub, from which you can observe dazzling sunrises and sunsets behind the mountains.
You'll find the home's gorgeous 3-level interior equally as impressive, boasting natural oak ceilings and southern views of the mountains through massive wall-to-wall windows, which stretch upwards to cover 2 levels of the home, eventually reaching a prow-shaped point. Spend leisurely afternoons warming up by the wood burning fireplace in the sunken living room, or head upstairs to utilize the majestic stone fireplace on the upper level. Everything you need to be as comfortable as possible during your stay is here, including free wireless internet access, in-unit laundry machines, and 2 TVs with cable and DVD players for your entertainment needs. Plus, the kids will love spending countless hours in the game room, where they can play exciting rounds of pool or foosball!
Prepare delicious home-cooked meals in your choice of 2 fully equipped kitchens - one upstairs and one downstairs, both featuring modern culinary appliances. After whipping up some tasty food in the kitchen, gather around one of the lovely adjacent wood dining tables to enjoy your culinary masterpiece. The upstairs dining table is enormous, featuring seating for up to 8 guests. Additional seating room can be found at the kitchen counter or the quaint kids' table in the living room. Before bed, take a soothing soak in the hot tub or go for a swim in the heated pool while breathing in the cool, mountainous night air.
Situated atop a mountain-facing peak only a few short miles from Gatlinburg, perhaps the best feature of this property is its idyllic location! 'LimberLost' offers tranquil privacy yet still provides easy access to not only Gatlinburg, but Pigeon Forge's famed Dollywood theme park as well, conveniently situated within just 2 miles of the home! Between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, you'll find plenty of safe places located just off the parkway to enjoy the flowing river. When you're not enjoying the river, there are numerous family-friendly activities at the nearby information station in Gatlinburg. If you're in the mood for some retail therapy, venture just 5 miles over to the outlet mall, where you'll find an array of fantastic shopping options.
No matter what time of year you plan to visit, you'll find plenty of indoor and outdoor attractions to keep everyone in your travel party entertained. In this mountainous region, every season has its own unique beauty. During the winter, enjoy stunning snow-covered views of the mountains, along with easy access to the slopes at several area ski resorts. In the summertime, you'll be within close proximity of golf courses, fishing, various water sports on the region's lakes and rivers, and so much more. Spectacular view!! Sooo peaceful! Refreshing pool and scenic hot tub. Wonderful large table for family meals. Lots of space, inside and out, for the whole family. Adults loved it and kids did too.
It was kind of a nightmare
We rented this property for Christmas and We had a surprise as we walked in the house. It was smelling bad, dirty and it doesn’t really looks like as the pics show. I had read the reviews and called to the manager to make sure everything was nice and clean but it seemed no one had cleaned that home lately. No internet at all!!!! We had someone came to the house to take a look at it but they didn’t resolve the problem!!! They said the homeowner had to give us the passcode but no one could contact him! The basement has 2 bedrooms but no one could stay there because it was freezing!!! The worst part was the sewer smell that makes all of us sick and coughing! We were trying by phone to have our money back and leave that nightmare just before Christmas but the homeowner didn’t refund us! So frustrating so i would recommend don’t stay at this property!!

Property needs maintenance and updates and deep cleaning
For sure the best thing about the property would be the pool. We stayed in December not pool weather. Started off on the wrong foot by delaying our check in by 1 hour. Once we were in just a quick once over we noticed pool table was in rough shape. Later as we were unpacking the people staying downstairs notices a sewer gas smell and that persisted the entire stay. The second night of our stay temps were cold and the heat in the house could not get the house above 65 degrees. We tried cooking a Christmas dinner but struggled with the selection and worn out cookware. The WiFi password and network id were wrong we did get that resolved after an hour. Generally the house was not as clean as it should be there are lots of places on the walls that you can see things need cleaned up . In general just did not live up to places we have rented in the past.
Ryan, thanks for taking the time to leave this review. We are sorry to hear that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. We have passed your feedback along to the local contact, who let us know that the property has just received a deep cleaning and other updates are currently being made. As for the other issues you mentioned, we have passed your comments along to the homeowner so any necessary changes can be made. Thanks for letting us know! Best, The Evolve Team
This is a MUST STAY location!
This is a MUST STAY location in the Smokey Mountains. Located high on the hill for amazing views from the two-story wall-to-wall windows. Secluded, yet close to what you need once you are down the mountain. And, wow, the space!!! Plenty of beds and bathrooms for a crowd and a wonderfully open floor plan on the main floor. Easy to find a private space to enjoy or time for fellowship with friends. I highly recommend this property.
Fun Family Time
The pool area was amazing and with 5 bedrooms it worked for our family!
So much potential
Limberlost has a beautiful view of the mountains, accommodates a large family and has 5 bathrooms! It also has seen better days. Lots of wear and tear (carpets, cabinetry, furniture) and poor housekeeping have taken a toll on this rental. 2 of the 4 loungers at the pool were broken, a dining room chair with previous repair broke the first time someone sat in it, most of the smoke detectors needed batteries, a shower curtain had to be replaced because it was moldy, the carpet and rugs are in desperate needed of a deep clean, utensil drawers had crumbs and oil-stained paper towels as liners, one of the bathroom walls was covered in hair and an unidentifiable gummy substance, the dining room table was perpetually sticky. Also, disregard the info on the website that states laundry detergent, trash bags, paper towels and spices are supplied. No spices or detergent and only a starter set of trash bags and paper towels. A good clean up and some minor repairs could make Limberlost a fantastic place to stay. Nick and Christy from the management company were wonderful and worked quickly to address what they could.
