The view will take your breath away from the second you walk in until you leave. (check out the video of the view on the 'video' tab to the left) On the slopes of Haleakala, this unit is high enough to have breath taking views but just over a mile from award winning beaches. Dinner on the lanai (balcony) while watching the sunset is a MUST! Whales can be seen from the lanai January thru March. You will feel at home in this two bedroom, two bath unit. It is modestly decorated and has all the comforts of home.
Second floor unit offers greater views and added privacy. Whole unit has open beam ceilings which adds to airy feeling. Cool trade winds come down off Haleakala and cool the whole unit. Full kitchen allows you to eat in when you want and when you don't want to there are many dining choices within a few miles, from Denny's to Ruth's Chris Steak House. Kitchen is full equipped. Linens are provided. In unit washer and dryer. Master bedroom has queen bed and attached bath with tub. Second bedroom has two twin beds. Second bath has step-in shower stall.

Our family run company owns the unit. We live on Oahu. We handle all our own rentals and have family on Maui that manages it for us.
The Owner purchased this condo in 1987
We purchased this unit from a friend many years ago. We try to get over to Maui, from Oahu, as often as we can. It is our home away from home. We love the view. Whenever we do make it over we spend most evenings on the lanai (balcony) eating dinner, sipping a beer and enjoying the sunset!
This unit is nearly perfect. It is high enough up the slope of Haleakala that it has an amazing view. Yet, it is just a short distance to the beach. There is a great shopping center just down the hill. A short drive away is Kihei which has just about everything you could ever want! Maui has a lot to offer. You can spend a day driving to Hana. Go upcountry and see Haleakala. Lahaina is a day in itself, lots of shopping and dining at the ocean front area. Or you can just hang out on the lanai (balcony) and enjoy the view and read your book. There are award winning beaches within a mile walk or drive. Kitchen allows you to eat in when you want, which is a handy way to save money while traveling.
We could not have been any happier with our stay at this lovely condo in Wailea. The location was amazing and we felt close to town but far enough away to feel relaxed and like we were in our own little paradise. Shops at Wailea are just down the street (only a 10 minute walk) and there is a lovely restaurant called Manolis just a 5 minute walk away! In addition, the pool area was clean and the perfect place to unwind after a full day at the beach. The condo itself included everything we could want in terms of dishes, appliances, beach chairs, etc. Lastly, the view from the lanai was top notch. You get expansive views of the water, the surrounding area of Wailea and molokini crater. The sunsets consistently took our breath away and the views of whales in the distance only added to the incredible experience. You know a place is good when a main highlight of the entire holiday was sitting on the lanai! We look forward to returning to this wonderful condo.
Within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and beaches (approx. 1 mile to Ulua Beach and 2 mile paved beach path). Short drives south to Makena (beaches) and north to Kihea (more beaches, shopping and restaurants). Lahaina, with more sight seeing, shopping and restaurants, is about an hour northwest - depending on traffic. Same with Paia about an hour northeast. And don't forget about Haleakala National Park with hiking and beautiful sunrises. It's 1 1/2 hours away.
Essentials provided - towels, paper goods, cooking supplies, even binoculars to spot the whales.
The view from the lanai is wonderful; ocean, whales, palm trees, beautiful grounds, sunsets. We even watched fireworks on two nights.
Furniture is a little older, but comfortable and clean. The beds were quite comfortable, even the couch for watching TV or sleeping.
Be careful with the beach design coffee mugs. They get very HOT in the microwave. Also, you may want to use a bath mat (if provided) in the master bath tub. Found the tub to be a little slippery.
Overall we would rent this condo again. Owner responded fairly quickly and answered all of our questions.
The property was great for our family of four. It was a little warm though in the afternoon. Had fans in the main living area and in bedroom 2. As the sun comes in it definitely warmed up the rooms if their wasn't a breeze. The fans helped but would've been nice to have air conditioning in these rooms too. There was AC available in the master bedroom. Other than this everything else was great. Plenty of extras to use in the kitchen, bathrooms, and for laundry. It was nice to have this and eat in to enjoy the beautiful view.
We had family stay at a resort right down the road, and they said this was the way to go. Having the extra essentials was very convenient. The boogie boards, beach towels, ice chest, and umbrellas came in very handy.
Overall the property has amazing views that let you admire beautiful Maui. Got to see whales here and there from the linai.
We'd definitely would like to come back.
The condo was great - had everything we needed except a kettle for making tea. Well stocked kitchen, towels, chairs, etc. The view really is fabulous, the picture does not do it justice. We watched the whales each morning and evening at supper.
Definitely will consider this one again when we return to Maui.
The home had amazing views and was perfect for our trip. We had a very very comfortable stay. I would recommend this property to anyone that's visiting Wailea!
We had a wonderful vacation, we didn't want to leave...
The condo has everything you need and the complex is well maintained.
Lots of great beaches and shops are near by.
Easy access to the beach Boardwalk for a walk or run
We can't wait until the next time
