We had a wonderful stay. We are planning on a trip back in Oct 2012 and want to know if the cottage is available. The place is beautiful and so was the weekend.
The pictures completely represent the cottage. And, as others have referenced, it is small, but the space is utilized in an exceptional way. Think cruise ship cabin with more luxury. We loved that it was about a 10 minute walk to the plaza and Sonoma is an excellent base to use to explore Sonoma County. The bed was comfortable, the little extras like cheese and crackers and orange juice were lovely touches. And, the two kitties who live there were sweethearts. Given the price and location, this is an excellent value and we will recommend it to friends and hope we can stay there again.
The owners of this property are space use geniuses! This is a very small cottage, but perfect for two people. Not one bit of space is unused. The bed was quite comfortable. The shower was beautiful as was the pool and patio area. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!!
The description of this lovely cottage is exactly what we experienced. Welcoming, comfortable and private. The hosts are very gracious; offering plenty of privacy. We used their cozy pool house as our home base. It was a perfect central location for our vineyard adventures. Napa Valley was less than a 9 mile drive. A day trip to San Francisco one day and a drive to the coast on another. We were able to walk from the quiet neighborhood to Sonoma's town square every evening.
Should we vacation in Napa Valley again, this home would be our first choice to stay!
This lovely, sparkling-clean cottage is the perfect accommodation for two in Sonoma! Located on a quiet, tree-lined street, the cottage is set in a tranquil garden trimmed with fragrant lavender and jasmine. Potted lemon trees and billowing hydrangea bushes edge a soft, green lawn and a cool blue pool. If you can summon the will to leave this serene spot, two bicycles are available for leisurely rides into town or out to the local vineyards. After walks or hikes along country roads, you can soak your tired muscles in the soothing waters of the garden hot tub.
The owners are warm and welcoming and ready to provide anything you need. There are soft thick robes to wear, a kitchenette with coffee, tea, and a few other tasty treats to nibble on, and a wonderfully luxurious bed to snuggle in at night. You don't want to miss sitting outside to gaze at the evening sky filled with twinkling stars! We wished we could have stayed here longer! Thank you for everything and we hope to return again in the near future!
My husband and I stayed here recently, and we fell in love with the area. The cottage is just what we needed. The owners provided us with coffee (with cream!), cheese and crackers, and juice. We even had a lovely conversation with them out by the pool. While we were within walking distance of downtown, the owners gave us a ride to the town square so that we didn't have to walk to the wedding we were attending. The pool was refreshing, the linens smelled great, and the cottage was clean and private. We'd gladly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.
My husband and I spent two night in this pool house and it was just what we were looking for. We could walk to town to eat at some of the exceptional restaurants or we could relax by the pool and enjoy a bottle of wine. The owners were lovely people and allowed us a great deal of privacy. The room has a very comfortable bed. The kitchenette had a small refrigerator and sink, perfect for wine and cheese (the owners supplied us with cheese and crackers). The outdoor shower was one of the features that we loved the best! Great size and very refreshing. If we ever go back to Sonoma, we will definitely want to stay at this pool house again. I give it an A++++++++.
Within walking distance to restaurants, gourmet grocery stores, the Sonoma Historic Town Square. Within driving distance of more than 100 world class wineries and restaurants.
