Romantic, Coastal, Arts and Crafts Style Cottage, originally built in 1918 by Zella Lee Gibson, as her painting studio. The cottage has been lovingly restored by the owners, a wine country interior designer and a general contractor. Perfect for the discriminating renter who wants the best of what Dillon Beach has to offer. Full Circle has received over 100 FIVE STAR reviews. This is very, very rare anywhere on the VRBO website and unheard of in Dillon Beach.
'Full Circle' has an all redwood interior, 17 foot high vaulted ceilings, stained glass windows, 180 degree ocean view, filled with period antiques, lighting and original artwork. Known as 'the cutest house in the village', at Dillon Beach. Located just 200 strides from the beach down Bumble Bee Path.
Upon check-in, you are welcomed with a bottle of Cline Cashmere wine (It tastes as smooth as it sounds), a fresh cut bouquet of flowers, Coast Roast coffee, a box of 4 custom Full Circle, Belgium chocolate truffles by Le Belge, live orchids, plush Turkish cotton bath sheets and robes, Terra Pure organic shampoo, conditioner and body wash and custom, hand made, organic Full Circle soaps from Hawaii. The two, new pillow-top queen size beds are made with 800 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, down comforters, down pillows and Pendleton Chief blankets. The fire is built and ready to light.
Wake up each morning to the sun streaming in the magnificent front gable, stained glass, church window. Watch the waves roll in on the beach from your bed in the loft. Spend your days relaxing in the plush Lloyd Flanders furniture on the patio and upper deck overlooking the ocean. Enjoy a sparkling clean hot tub with a whitewater ocean view and watch the sun set on the ocean. BBQ and have dinner under the stars on the deck. Make some memories while gathered around the outdoor fireplace. Fall asleep in plush beds to the sounds of the waves breaking on the beach.
A one of a kind place for that special occasion. The cottage has been featured in the Travel section of the New York Times, 'Elegant Bungalows' by Bethany Lyttle, on February 8th, 2008. It was also used as the set for the short film by Tarik Haddad, 'The Sound of a Yellow Flower', which played in the London Film Festival and the Dubai Film Festival's, among others. Gary William Kohler wrote and recorded a song about the cottage, 'Full Circle', that is included on his CD, 'Nowhere to be Found'.
This cottage is pure romantic bliss.
The cottage is meticulously maintained to the highest cleaning standards. It is cleaned with eco-friendly products for 5 to 6 hours between each guest and deep cleaned once a month for five hours. Down pillows are washed regularly and have pillow covers under the pillow cases. The Hot Springs spa has a sophisticated ozone filter system and is also thoroughly completely cleaned between each guest. The cleaning fee of $125 is a separate fee and paid at check-out.

Dillon Beach is an old fishing village built right after the turn of the century. You feel like your 1,000 miles from 'civilization' when you are there. It is like 'the town that time forgot' perched on the edge of the world, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tomales Bay.
This restored, all redwood artist studio, is truly a one-of-a-kind and the perfect place for a romantic getaway or just simple peace, quiet and solitude.
Historic property. Dramatic backyard ocean views, smells and sounds. All Redwood interior, 17' vaulted ceiling, loft, short walk to the beach. Good bones.
Once we arrived at the cottage we were speechless. The careful attention to detail from the craftsmanship of the home to the decor and amenities was amazing. I've personally worked in some very high end expensive places...some that go for over 3,000.00 a night and I would choose this place over those any day! For a couple it is one of the most romantic, charming place we could have imagined. I just want to say thank you to Tom for the opportunity to stay and share this wonderful place. The pictures were hard to believe but once we showed up it was apparent that the owners and caretakers go through a great deal to make this place special.
The Full Circle Cottage is one of my favorite Northern California beach get-always. My friends and I have been coming here for over 10 years. I love the views from inside and from the deck. Being able to curl up on the comfortable sofas inside in front of the pot-bellied stove or sitting out on the patio in front the the lovely stone fireplace is a lovely way to enjoy the cool beach climate.
I was impressed by the Native American decor which highlights and honors the history of the area and is so pleasing to the eye. The cottage is comfortable and inviting and so cozy. I hope to return here again and again!
I have stayed at Dillon Beach many times and in many places over many years. For me, Full Circle is the best and, well, only place to stay in Dillon; and I’ve chosen it, exclusively over all others, for the last decade or more. The reasons are many…
With Tom’s extensive construction background, passion for restoration, period architecture and history; and Robin’s long, successful career in interior design, their beach house cabin exudes their skills, love, care and attention to detail beyond what one would expect. It has panache, style and yet a relaxed luxury about it. In my humble opinion, there could be no better stewards of this beautiful home than Tom and Robin.
The cabin accommodates 4, perfect for a romantic weekend for two or a couples’. For me, it’s been a girlfriends’ getaway (music, cooking, talking story) or a solo stay to walk the beach, write, read and soak up some good sleep and rejuvenation time.
For any discerning travelers, the ocean views, proximity to the beach, furnishings, completely outfitted kitchen, and amenities (such as organic linens, plush towels and robes, complimentary toiletries) will leave you feeling sweetly spoiled. Tom and Robin also provide their guests with a lovely bottle of wine, decadent chocolates and flowers or orchids as welcoming gifts.
What also sets this rental apart from all the others is it’s nod to the history of the home and it’s original owner, Dillon Beach itself, and more recently Tom’s research of and homage to the Miwok Indians, the first indigenous people of the area. Steeped in rich history, it allows you to look at Dillon Beach through a larger, richer lens.
I encourage you to book your visit to Dillon Beach right here at Full Circle. Come. Build fires in the outdoor or inside fireplaces. Uncork your favorite bottle of wine and take advantage of all the comfortable spots to sit and relax. Walk the beach and watch for dolphins and whales and enjoy the local surfers riding their perfect waves. Enjoy the spotlessly clean hot tub before you drift off to sleep with the ocean lulling you into your dreams. Cook a meal or set off for one of the many area restaurants that Tom and Robin recommend in their ‘house book’. Full Circle is perfectly prepared for you to enjoy whatever experience you want to create.
For me personally it’s a spiritual place…healing and restorative. Over the years, I’ve had amazing experiences with family and friends; and memories to last a lifetime.
The atmosphere inside the property is one of calm and relaxation. The ability to sleep and open the window to hear the ocean breaking into the beach is one of a kind. The place is impeccable clean and Linda is amazing at answering questions and calls. And the owner responded immediately to all concerns (within the hour). So thankful for being able to book and stay at such incredible place. Certainly built memories and images of romanticism.
The owner even recommended a restaurant nearby that completed the weekend.
When we viewed the photos of the cottage on VRBO online, we thought that it was just the romantic retreat we were searching for a home base for our first trip to California. When we arrived at Full Circle, we were mesmerized by the palpable enchantment of this charming home, with it’s impeccable interior, as well as, the natural beauty of the surrounding scenery and spectacular vistas.
The attention to detail emits from every crevice of the cottage, from the distinctive nuances in architecture and design, the magical glow of the glamorous lighting fixtures and the stained glass elegance, to the stunning furnishings, décor and artwork and the numerous extra special touches that ignite your senses.
We have stayed at the Palace and the Waldorf in NYC, as well as, the Four Seasons and Ritz in Philadelphia but we found the bedding and ambiance at Full Circle more alluring. I particularly like the utilization of the vintage room screen as backdrop for the headboard lending nostalgia and another creative touch of art to the alcove.
I could continue to ramble with endless superlatives about the upscale amenities found throughout the kitchen, bathroom and patio areas. We enjoyed relaxing to the soothing sound of the surf heard from every room, the warmth of the fireplace as we savored fine regional wines, fresh shucked oysters and watched our first sunset on the Pacific. We ventured out each day to explore the county side, only to want to hurry back to the splendor of the cottage. Suffice it to say, we were delighted with our stay at Full Circle and have a fond memory of our California vacation to warm our winter days back east.
Thank you, Tom and Robin & Linda for painstakingly creating this haven and for allowing us to share in the magic of Full Circle.

The place was just as advertised. No surprises or disappointments.
Beautifully maintained with a competent manager to greet and on call.
Well thought through.
Comfort and functionality were good within the confines of an historic piece of property.
I especially appreciated the respect for the Original Peoples of these lands.
The property as now set up works very well as a Romantic Getaway for a couple
without children or pets.
For older guests, the set up of the hot tub (narrow cement steps without banisters make it problematic
to get out and down safely) and the shower facilities (there needs to be a grab bar to help
everyone - young or old get in and out of the claw foot tub) need to be rethought .
With those two comments in mind, it worked beautifully for a week end with grandchildren
staying just two doors away. I would stay again under the same circumstances and would recommend it to others.
