2 story, 2000 sq. ft. quintessential beach house with 2 large king bedrooms upstairs, a third king off the living room. Bedrooms have incredible views of Hammersley Inlet. It is as if you are on a boat in the water. A full bathroom with shower serves guests on the second floor. The Downstairs bathroom has a claw foot slipper tub with shower attachment. The full kitchen, with window to the water, includes a large side by side refrigerator, a gas range, dishwasher, microwave, mixer, toaster, coffee maker, french roast whole beans, grinder. A wine cooler compliments the kitchen amenities.. The dining area in the great room has a large table to seat 8-10. The open floor plan of the living room has spectacular water views, two seating areas and the dining area. There is a flat screen TV/DVD with HDMI input, (no TV reception) a computer table, free WiFi, and a gas thermostat controlled fireplace. A washer and dryer are behind the kitchen. An antique pinball machine decorates the room. The 8 person Marquis Epic hot tub in a Covana gazebo, a big front deck/chairs, BBQ and fire pit all face the water. 4 kayaks are included for your use. It is hard to imagine this 11 acre property. As you come down the long drive, Pirates Creek is to your left, flowing into Pirates Cove which flows into Hammersley Inlet. To your right, a terraced meadow with apple orchard takes you to the beach. Puget Sound is visible the moment you enter the property. Unparalleled privacy.

In 2010, Phil and Catharine purchased Pirates Cove Caboose on Hammersley Inlet, a heart thumpingly beautiful property advertised on Greatgetaways.com since 2003. An offer prompted Catharine and Phil to considerer where they might move if they sold their home 3 miles from Mt. Rainier National Park. Puget Sound was calling. After viewing every waterfront property they could find between Belfair and Shelton, Catharine remembered the Beach House across Pirates Cove from the Caboose being for sale. While both are very private, forested beachfront, they are separate properties. You may walk between them at low tide. This was it. There was absolutely nothing like it available anywhere. 11 acres of beachfront property surrounded by forest with apple orchard and a 2000 sq ft., 2 story quintessential beach house.
Peace, Quiet, Privacy, 3 king beds, 2 full baths, Private Beach, 4 kayaks, Samsung Washer Dryer, 50" flat screen DVD system with HDMI inputs WiFi, Gas fireplace, Air Conditioning, 11 acres with forest, meadows, terrace, apple orchard and a family of deer who make their way from the beach to feed on the apples in the orchard and are non plussed by the people present. Everything you need is present. All you need to bring is your own good spirits, food and beverages.
We had 6 in the Beach House, 2 in the Caboose. Enjoyed our weekend immensely!! Something for everyone and they especially loved the kayaking. Absolutely beautiful spot!
We had a family reunion in Pirate's Beach House and we all love this place! We were pleasantly surprised that the house was complete with amenities plus more! It is exceeded our expectations. They had olive oil, sugar, salt, pepper, trash bags, paper towels, napkins, and more. Bed sheets, towels, beds were so comfortable. It was like sleeping in a 5 star hotel. The layout of the house was great where all the kids stayed on the main floor and woke up together and played and the adults, had time to rest and have alone time while kids played. The beach was wonderful!!! We spent time fishing and clam digging. They have complete amenities with kayak, paddles, and vests, even children's vests. This was truly a great location and a great place. We had so much fun we didn't to use the hot tub. But we did get to roast marshmallows and eat scores. We will go back again. My 3 year old is still talking about this place and wants to have her birthday here. On the way home, she was literally asking us to turn around and stay at the beach house again.
What an awesome house!! Our journey with Phil and Catherine began at the Pirates Cove Caboose. During one of our stays we finally had the pleasure of meeting them. They had just recently acquired the Beach House. They graciously invited us in for a tour of the place "mid remodel". Openly sharing their vision for this new property. Needless to say....as soon as it was on the website we booked it. Perhaps a bit silly for just the two of us. As it is a huge property ....boasting three of the most outstanding king size beds EVER!! No matter! We continue to come alone ....having fun bouncing from bed to bed! Then there is the hot tub! Hmmmm....the waterfall... The lights... The view... Simply the best! We rave about all of the Great Getaway properties to everyone we know. Then I selfishly think... Oh crap! This is my little piece of heaven...i can't possibly give up this treasure!! Then we return with the ease and familiarity as if it were our own! We will forever be grateful to you both for passing on your dreams to us!!
Perfect location for touring..Hwy 3 destinations..Hood Canal, Allyn, Belfair, Alderbrook, Port Orchard, Silverdale, Bremerton, Paulsbo, Port Townsend, Olympic National Park Hurricane Ridge, Port Angeles, Seattle, Washington Coast, all within an hour and one half from Pirates Cove Beach House.
