Tri-level with a secluded, private Master Retreat on the 3rd floor
So overall this was a very nice property and I would recommend it. It was clean and obviously well cared for. The heat and hot water worked well and the rooms are all spacious. Please advice it is 3 levels and has lots of stairs! Unfortunately when I booked this property several months ago the pictures eluded to 3 bedrooms all with at least queen size beds and 1 of those beds having a bunk on top. When we got to the property we were all surprised to find that the one of the rooms only had a trundle bed. Later we realized that the owners have 2 or more properties and it seems that there were some pictures mixed up! However when the listing was "fixed" or changed in the last few months since booking, no one informed us of the change! The twin trundle beds were not comfortable for adults! And no one wants to sleep on a pull-out couch. Also we spent 2 days searching for spa towels and a kitchen towel. Finally found 12 towels smashed in the dryer. The house is adequately stocked with kitchen cookware, ie:-pots, pans, bowls, cups, plates. However, the pepper shaker was empty and there weren't really any other essentials, which makes for an expensive grocery bill when trying to cook at home. And frustrating when you're only using a fraction of everything. I find it helpful when foil, zip locks, plastic wrap, salt, pepper, an extra paper towel roll etc are provided. Also the 1500$ deposit is astronomical for a family on a budget. Obviously it's refundable but it has to be paid upfront and then held onto for likely several months if you're booking well in advance. Nicole the property manager was super quick at responding which was great! Also there was supposed to be a parking pass for the 2nd vehicle which wasn't provided. We were told to just place a piece of paper in the car window that said "guest of 215" but we still got a warning. Thankfully just a warning.
We had a good time during our stay, but recommend better sheets in the master, carpet cleaning in the bathrooms (why have carpet in the bathrooms?) and better lighting in the bathrooms. The fixtures were attractive but the light very dim and add kleenex. The mountain decor was great. Note that Oct. 8th is toward the closing of the season and lots of contractors were dong repairs on the neighboring condos as well as the pool and hot tub which were closed during our 4 day stay.
This was a wonderful rental. It was clean and spacious. The owner had a great guidebook with recommendations for food and entertainment. Proximity to the pool and jacuzzi can't be beat. I would definitely stay here again.
Very nice, clean, well kept condo. Easily sleeps 8 people with an extra pull out bed in the couch. Nice location although there was construction going on next door which was a bit loud. Easy parking. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub but it looked nice. The balconies in the condo are great. The upstairs master bed and bath are great. The kitchen could use a few more staples.. like pepper and a larger cutting board and a few more cooking pieces, but overall was workable. Would definitely stay here again in the future. Especially since it is DOG friendly!! Thanks for a great vacation rental!
Nice unit but had noise from golf course n new construction workers started early in AM!
We had a very nice stay in in MG215. The weather was great, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mammoth.
We do have a couple of things to pass along, which need repair and/or are accommodation suggestions:
1. Trundle bedroom, facing parking lot: Window crank broken.
2. Master bedroom: blinds broken. Also, when we arrived, carpet was wet for first 3 days. (no obvious cause.)
3. BBQ igniter didn’t work.
4. No hand soap in top floor bathroom.
5. No dish soap in kitchen.
6. Top floor hallway: window doesn’t close.
7. Sliding screen door missing bottom wheel; sliding operation is tedious.
