Montana House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Our Queens Bay summer house was lovingly remodeled by my husband and I to share with our family. After many wonderful years we are opening up our house to share with others to start many great family memories of summers spent at majestic Flathead Lake. We would like to offer our beautiful 3 bedroom, 1 bath home. Beautifully furnished kitchen with cherry cabinetry and granite countertops, 1 full bath (no tub) with cherry cabinets and granite countertops, 3 bedrooms on the top floor with views of the lake. Wonderful outdoor area with big patio/deck and dock, and only ten minutes from downtown Polson with all of the amenities that one could ask for!

About Melissa Newman

After our first trip to Montana, and Flathead Lake, our family demanded a trip to Montana every summer. We recreated for many years on Flathead until we found the right place for us.

Melissa Newman purchased this house in 2006

Why Melissa Newman chose Montana

Our family vacationed at Flathead Lake for years before we found a summer home that included all that was important to us. Close to town, but off the highway, so it's quiet. Ten minutes to shopping, golf, bowling, dining and all services. Our home is perfect for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, water skiing, and fishing. Queens Bay is the best water ski location on Flathead Lake.

What makes this house unique

Our home is a perfect place to enjoy wildlife of all kinds. We've seen deer, bears, bobcats, multiple varieties of fox, mink, otters, ground squirrels and chipmunks. Bird watchers appreciate the eagles, osprey, ravens, seagulls and a multitude of bird species commonly found in most Western wilderness regions.

A sunny vacation week at water's edge, Flathead Lake

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and our other four adult family members enjoyed a wonderful eight days at this vacation home. It's a very compact home on a small lot, but perfectly situated at water's edge. The cabin's interior finishes are first rate, beautifully maintained. Only one bathroom on the lower level, for the six of us in bedrooms on the upper level, was sometimes a night-time cause for comment -- but hey, we weren't exactly suffering, were we? Swimming, kayaking, with frequent walks around the nearby Kings Point peninsula were great. One evening we saw no fewer than twenty deer! The owner was very nice and helpful in making sure we would enjoy our stay, and we all agreed we received excellent value. Also, 15 minute drive to Polson for golf, restaurants-- there was even an art show and a classic car show on the weekend.

Flathead trophy

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely as advertised! It is so nice when everything works as expected. It was like staying at a friend's house. The cabin is so solid, exceptionally well maintained and above all, clean, clean, clean !!! Excellent outdoor space and a great dock but at the same time absolutely private. The 2 kayaks were an added bonus. My kids even said what a great job I had done with the accommodation this year - enough said! Did I mention it was clean? The owners were exceptionally proactive and courteous in all respects. Thank you.

Paradise on Flathead Lake

  • 5 of 5

We had a really fantastic visit to this cabin for Memorial Day Weekend. The owners were very easy to work with. Our first day we saw three bald eagles circling the bay! We also watched two osprey fishing each evening and saw a few deer. There was everything that we needed in the kitchen to cook all of our meals, including spices and a nice BBQ outside. They even had kayaks for us. We slept in the front bedroom with two twin beds and they were very comfortable, especially with the air conditioning. This cabin was very comfortable and it felt like our home away from home. We will be coming back next year! Thank you, Melissa!

Great house, great location

  • 5 of 5

This is a relatively small house, but makes great use of the space. Outdoor space is excellent. Very quiet part of the lake and very relaxing, clean, excellent experience. Note that there are no "toys" at the house like a kayak, canoe or even swim noodles, so bring your own.

Awesome Experience!

  • 5 of 5

My partner and I stayed at this property in early September 2012 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The house itself is in great condition offering several amenities that never left us really needing anything. The kitchen was a good size stocked perfectly. A full size stove/oven and refrigerator, dining table with a great window view of the lake, plenty of plates, bowls, silverware, cups, mugs, bakeware, cooking utensils, coffee maker (with filters!!), sheet pans, mixing bowls, spices, even some shot glasses kept chilled in the freezer. I love to cook and found the layout to be very functional and very well stocked. Living room has a flat-panel tv, dvd player, dvd's (with a collection to fit anyone's taste), ipod dock to plug into, and storage bench loaded with board games, cards and some poker chips. Two bedrooms upstairs had fresh linen on the beds, dresser and closet space.

The best part of the house for us was the deck and outdoor space. We spent most of our time outside relaxing, bbq'ing, reading, enjoying the sunsets, and star gazing in the evening. It was set up with some lounge chairs, dining table and chairs, bench, side tables, gas piped bbq grill.

All in all we had a great time and truly enjoyed every minute of our stay at this house. It is clean, well appointed, and very, very relaxing. I would highly recommend using this property if your planning a stay in Polson.

Fall Gem!

  • 5 of 5

This is actually the second time I have stayed at this particular home. It is extremely well taken care of and you will find everything you need aready there. It's a quick drive to Polson for supplies or sightseeing but very quite with a great deck for hanging out in the sun or star gazing. We really enjoyed being able to spend one day on the road to Glacier National Park or Hot Springs and another just sitting watching movies. I would highly recommend this property and we have already put in for next year. In short this place is as advertised.
