Like staying in a treehouse....all the windows are open to the trees and beautiful surroundings.
Very nice, quiet and cabin-like. Nestled in the trees so it felt like a treehouse. Very relaxing! Had some problems with ants. Couldn't get main floor bathroom plugs to work. A dishwasher would have been nice.
Quiet, spacious home with a view
This was a lovely spot on Inverness ridge, not far from the entrance to Point Reyes NP. It’s a spacious two and a half level home, well-lived in so could feel a little dated to some, but had everything you need - although WiFi was very weak there. There were three of us and we each chose a different bed - place was big enough we didn’t even use the lower (master) floor. Lovely decks - great view of Tomales Bay and worth waking up in time for the sunrise because the pink of it lit the whole place aglow.
Beautiful home in a great location. Amazing views. The photos on the site don't show how lovely the views and house are. San Francisco is about an hour and a half drive away. There are some beautiful hiking areas and lovely little towns very close
The two lofts are very private, and there is plenty of comfortable sleeping space. I wish the dining room table and oven were a little bigger to accommodate the seven of us who stayed. But we managed and had a wonderful time.
The reviews summed this lovely place up well: a cozy tree house! Beautiful views of Tomales Bay.
Lovely property and owner very responsive.
Wonderful house in a quiet location
We loved the location and the house itself. It was more spacious than you expect from the pictures, so was easily accommodating for our 2 families with small kids.
The living space is very roomy, and full of big windows and decks facing the the forest and the bay. Nice magical sunset view.
For the yoga lovers - Part of the living area was a great spot for yoga facing the big windows into the forest.
The kitchen is quite small but well equipped.
The beds were comfortable, and there was plentiful of linens, towels, and extra blankets and bed-sheets. The extra sleeper sofas in the living spaces were handy too.
The lofts were perfect for the kids - they loved the unusual setup. Only downside is they can't be closed off, so noise and light go in.
There were plenty of kids toys and game, which was handy.
The location, just a short walk to the coast was great. And so many things to do within a short drive.
The firewood oven was nice, and there was plenty of firewood provided.
The outdoors grill was useful to have, and worked perfectly.
The owner was very helpful, responsive, and flexible about checkin and checkout hours.
Some of the points to be aware of in case it is an issue for your group:
1. If you have toddlers, beware the deck fencing has wide spacing, that will make it unsafe for them. Stairs to lower floor can also be an issue.
2. Parking is on street and uncovered, with an unpaved trail walking down to the house.
3. Kitchen appliances were on the small side - oven, toaster oven, microwave. A bit more limiting when cooking for a group.
Overall this is a keeper - we would definitely want to be back there again!
Beautiful Family Friendly Stay
I loved this stay. It was a last minute thing for me as a surprise for my wife and our 3.5 year old son and it worked out perfectly. The large, open living space was warm and inviting. All the natural light coupled with the views of the trees and the bay made us feel as if we were in a treehouse. The wi-fi is a bit challenging in this area in general and this house in no different and the technology entertainment options at the house are a bit dated, but for us that was fine. I was excited to go unplugged for the weekend and for us to spend our days and nights spending quality time with one another untethered to the myriad streaming media services and social accounts that we have become inextricably connected to.
