Cute and cozy two bedroom, 776 sq ft cottage located on Hay Bay on the shores of Lake Huron. This cottage is conveniently located just 3 km from Tobermory. Located on a dead end road, this cottage offers a tranquil setting.
The main living area of the cottage is an open concept with the dining room, kitchen and living room in one large open space.
The sitting area includes a couch, chair, TV with VCR, CD and DVD player as well as an iPod/iPhone dock and a propane fireplace.
The kitchen in the cottage is bright and inviting, thanks to the skylight. The fridge, stove, and microwave make preparing meals a breeze, and an island provides extra space as well.
The highlight of the cottage is the sunroom. Floor to ceiling windows provide a crystal clear view of the nearby water, and the many comfortable seating areas make this a great room for enjoying a good book, or just enjoying the view. A table with four chairs provides the ideal place for a waterfront dining experience or a game of cards. Your family will love using this bright space.
There are two bedrooms at the cottage. One has a double bed, the other has a set of bunkbeds (single over double). The sunroom also has a sleeping space with a single bed. The one bathroom at the cottage is a four-piece with a bathtub/shower combination.
Outside of the cottage is a large deck that overlooks the water and is a great place to unwind. Here you'll find a table and four chairs, the perfect place to sit and enjoy the view of Lake Huron. A key element of summer cooking is the BBQ, which you'll find on the deck along with a nearby picnic table for your outdoor summer dining.
The shoreline at the cottage is honeycombed limestone, with shallow entry into the water and good swimming opportunities. Swim shoes are recommended.
There are 2 sit on top kayaks with 2 adults life jackets provided for you to explore the beautiful shoreline of Lake Huron during your stay.

This cottage is clean, attractive and beyond adequately supplied with all that is needed for preparing and eating meals. A small stash of oils, s&p, vinegar, etc is available. Double bed is comfortable. View is lovely. Lots of games, books both fiction and reference, provide activity and info for a Bruce Peninsula visit. Bruce Trail maps were very helpful. No wifi (we are from US). Propane fireplace is totally adequate to heat the entire cottage on cold nights (we were there in early October and it did get cool). Beach is rock, mostly flat, so plastic kayaks (2 are provided) are fine, but you don't want to scrape high quality kayaks/canoes over it for putting in, unless you don't care about the unforgiving rock's scratchiness. Narro paths connect back to front of cottage, but one is well lit and easy to navigate. Nice little fire pit, great decks for lounging, eating, sunning, etc. Nicely located close to Tobermory, but still feels remote and private, and it is a great headquarters for exploring anywhere in the north Bruce Peninsula. We were unable to get a response from this website when trying to book, thought we were being dismissed, but had good luck when rerouting our inquiry through trip advisor. It was worth the extra effort to book this reasonably inexpensive, comfy, very attractive, fun and hip little cottage. No regrets, totally satisfied.
