About the property

CASA de POCO LOCO

About 2.5 hours drive north of Toronto and centrally located between Parry Sound, Rosseau, Port Carling, and Bala, this executive 4 season waterfront chalet/cottage is fully equipped and tastefully furnished. Its wood siding exterior and knotty pine interior provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Nestled in the trees on a gentle slope overlooking beautiful Little Whitefish Lake, this is a great choice for families or small groups looking for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. Little Whitefish Lake is great for swimming, fishing and boating and the region is a year-round destination with something for everyone to do twelve months of the year; such as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

With 3250 square foot, 3+ bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a separate sleeping cabin, and 300 feet of waterfront this chalet has all the charm you would want with all the comforts of home to make for a memorable vacation. This property is located at the end of a short, quiet, private road. You enter the two-level chalet on the main floor where you will be welcomed by an open kitchen, dining and living room area. The large open concept allows for easy conversation between those in the living room, dining room, or kitchen. The main floor features slate tile and wide plank wood floors, high vaulted living room ceiling, large bright picture windows allowing you to appreciate the lake view and surrounding woodlands, and an impressive floor to ceiling stone, wood burning fireplace. There is a clean, well equipped kitchen with everything you need for your vacation meals. Cook simple fare to gourmet in the bright modern kitchen that features white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances including a gas range, and kitchen bar seating. It is equipped with fridge and freezer, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffee pot, kettle, blender, water cooler, cappuccino maker, and plenty of cooking utensils and cookware to satisfy your culinary needs. There is a patio door from the dining room that provides you with easy access to the outdoor deck. There are also sliding French doors that lead to the 3 season Muskoka room where you can sit and relax while enjoying a view of the lake. The Muskoka room features a high vaulted ceiling, wicker loveseat and chairs to unwind in, three walls of large bright windows, pine walls and ceiling, and a wood burning fireplace. When the dining table is relocated here in the warmer weather this room provides a wonderful "Muskoka" ambiance for dining and relaxation with family and friends. The dining table can accommodate up to 12 people. Comfortable seating, pine vaulted ceiling and large floor to ceiling windows in the warm and cozy living room invite you to gather around to relax in front of the wood burning, stone fireplace and take in the stunning lake views. A great spot for a relaxing morning, afternoon conversations, or enjoying an evening with your family. In the living room there is a 55" SmartTV, DVD and CD player, and sonas sound system. There are chairs, table and umbrella at the dock. The 18'X 30' dock is the ideal spot to catch some rays, relax with a good book and take in a great panoramic view of the lake. If you prefer take a dip in the lake, swim out to the floating dock, or bring your fishing gear and try your hand at fishing from the dock. If you wish to explore the lake, there are two kayaks with paddles, one canoe with paddles and 12 life jackets available for your use during your stay. Little Whitefish Lake is part of a 3 lake system that includes Whitefish Lake and Clear Lake so there is lots of water to explore. There are also 2 adult bikes. There is a grassed area where you can play bocce ball, badminton, crocquet or horseshoes and a fire pit where you can enjoy evening campfires, roasting marshmallows, taking in the starry night sky and sharing stories.

The region has an abundance of natural beauty and year round activities. Major stores, shopping, dining and entertainment are available in Parry Sound or visit the quaint and smaller town of Rosseau.
