About The Owner

This cabin is a family cabin where by a father and 2 sons are the owners. We cherish it and hope you do too.

The Owner purchased this cabin in 2005

Why The Owner chose Shuswap Lake

This cabin is close to the town of Sicamous so you have all the town amenities however you're far enough away that it doesn't feel like you're in the town. Additionally it's in a very quiet sub division with great neighbours who look out for each other.

The cabin has it's own private beach, dock and buoy that's accessed via a small path down to the lake.

Finally, the cabin is a quick 45 minute drive from Revelstoke Mountain Resort so it's now an all season destination. It can be used in summer for boating and winter for skiing/snowboarding.

What makes this cabin unique

- Short walk to private beach

- 3 great golf courses within 30 minutes

- Access to both Mara and Shuswap lake

- Private hot tub with an amazing view of the lake

- Nice fire pit area

- Huge deck

- Cabin is well shaded so it's not hot in summer

- Very private location - can't see neighbours on either side, just those below.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. The view was amazing and we put the fire pit and hot tub to good use! The location was really close to town which was very convenient also. The cabin was very clean, beds comfortable, and had more than enough furniture/towels/kitchen supplies/etc for our group. Hope to stay again next year!

Damage deposit return transaction was very quick.

A Boater's Paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband, our daughter, my parents and my brother had a fantastic time in the Shuswap! Ron's description of the place as well as the description for the way to the lake shore was right on the mark. The cabin was very clean and Ron was available to answer any of our questions before, during and after our stay! The damage deposit was return promptly as promised. There was plenty of parking for our truck and boat trailer and it was an added bonus we could use the mooring buoy and dock while we were there. When we weren't boating ourselves, we were able to enjoy the large deck with spectacular views of the Shuswap with the houseboats going in and out of the bay all the while enjoying a drink in the hot tub! We were fortunate enough to see the firework display for Canada Day celebration right from the view of the deck and they were amazing!!

Amazing view!!

  • 5 of 5

I just got back from Ron's cabin with my husband and two small children and was extremely impressed with this rental. Ron was very pleasant and prompt with answering questions and confirming the rental. The cabin was very clean and well organized. The hot tub experience was amazing; overlooking the lake. I have not bad to say about this place!

I Wish I Could Give More Than 5 Stars! Perfect Christmas Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We just stayed at this cabin over Christmas with our two young children and another couple. From the very start, Ron was extremely professional, and he left us fully confident before we even arrived. When we did show up to our winter wonderland, we were blown away by the fact a Christmas tree and Christmas lights were set up for our stay! That's definitely going the extra mile.

The cabin was spotlessly clean and featured ample towels, bedding, dishes, etc. We were able to cook a huge turkey dinner and weren't wanting for any pots, pans, or utensils.

The hot tub was meticulously clean and much appreciated. When it snowed, two men showed up to shovel the driveway and deck- we were definitely pleasantly surprised!

I was expecting a lot from this vacation, and Ron delivered so much more. I can't say enough positive things about our experience here. We will definitely be back. Thanks for making this the best Christmas any of us can remember!

Relaxing weekend getaway

  • 4 of 5

A great spot for our weekend get away. Descriptions were right on. Ron described the walk to the beach very accurately so i knew it would be a challenge for my not in great shape 62 year old self but it was definitely worth it. For the rest of the family it was just a walk to the beach. We would definitely go back.

Fun & Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was definitely large enough for all of us, and was equipped with everything and more! Lots of towels, dishes, cutlery, pots, etc. The huge deck, netted gazebo and hot tub provided hours of fun and a ton of relaxation. The cabin isn't lake front, but the views are spectacular and the lake with it's cool breezes was very refreshing in the evening. The walk down to the lake really isn't far. Kind of like a stroll through the woods. Clearing parts of the trail would make access a bit easier. There is a bit of noise from the road behind and the train that comes quite frequently through out the day, but it didn't really bother us. Our grand daughter loves the train! The property was well maintained. Very clean upon arrival. Great fenced area for pets, beautiful deck, fabulous kitchen & bathrooms and the rooms were a good size. It was hot when we were there and found the rooms upstairs to be extremely hot, AC would have been a bonus, but we managed with the fans provided. Some of the window screens were duct taped and the curtains were quite worn, but overall, a nice place. The location of the cabin is great. Minutes from Sicamous, close to Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Revelstoke and much more. All in all we had a really great time!

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments Lynne. We've never had anyone mention that the bedrooms upstairs get too hot at night so air conditioning is something that we will consider. Thanks for the suggestion!

Summer vacation

  • 5 of 5

This cabin has all the comforts of home in a perfect location with the most amazing view from large deck! Beds are all comfy, satellite dish with all the channels, all appliances are new in good working order. The owners have gone out of their way to ensure cabin is well stocked and comfortable for the renters. Amazing view from the deck and hot tub of all the boats coming through the channel and across the lake. Having access to your own dock and buoy is so convenient for boating and water activities. Highly recommend and will be booking this wonderful cabin again!
