My husband and I met my parents in Charleston the week before Christmas and chose to stay in the cottage. It was wonderful! We each had our own bedroom and bathroom, which was nice. My parents had never stayed in a HomeAway before (behind the times :)) and thought this was the best! The location was great - you can walk to several restaurants and drive just a few minutes to get to all the sites you'd want to visit. The cottage was clean and it was nice to have a dedicated parking space. We would definitely stay here again!
We loved the Cottage. Very clean. Convenient. Off street parking was great. We didn't spend much time there because we were out exploring the wonderful city, but was nice getting up in the morning to a comfortable home. The only thing I found lacking in the beautiful marble shower was a place to put your soap etc. on. Could really use one of those wire shower head things. If we visit Charleston again we will stay here again.
I am a vrbo owner myself, so I am pretty picky. We have stayed in his 1 and 2 bedroom units at the Inn. This was our first stay at the cottage. It was great. We loved the privacy of having the whole house. Matt is super to work with and whenever we are in Charleston, we check with his properties first. We are always delighted when they are available.
This is our second time staying at the cottage in Charleston. We've tried other times as we visit 2x a year, but it is popular and for good reason. The cottage is actually a very spacious home tucked between two larger residences and all fenced in, giving you a sense of privacy and quiet in a fairly vibrant area. Matt is great to work with. He provides all of the information you need up front and when you arrive at the space it is welcoming, super clean, and has everything you could possibly need for a great stay. You'll find the living areas very comfortable to hang out, the bedrooms great for sleeping and having your things nearby but not cluttered, and a kitchen that is great for cooking or just hanging out with a drink. I could go on but I know every positive has been covered in other reviews.
Cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience at Matt's cottage! It is in a perfect location and so beautiful and charming! For a cottage, there was lots of room! The pictures online are beautiful but still do not do the cottage justice! Perfect place to stay!! Will absolutely stay here again and will highly recommend it to others!!
This is the best cottage! I hope that we can stay here each time we visit Charleston. The yard is perfect! The bed is comfortable! I have no complaints. We were in need of a place st the last minute, and I cannot thank Matt enough for his quick response & southern hospitality! Thank you & we hope to be back!
