Pono Kai Resort
The condo is within the beautiful Pono Kai Resort which is along the Coconut Coast of Kauai in Kapaa Town. Pono Kai is on 12 acres of manicured tropical grounds You know you have arrived in PARADISE when you walk through the resort and see the lush tropical plantings and the many tall coco palms. The resort features a large, beautiful swimming pool and spa, lighted tennis courts, and activities desk and a 24-hour front desk as well as the other amenities like a workout equipment room, croquet and shuffleboard courts, as well as other amenities that are listed below. Island restaurants and shopping are within walking distance of your beach vacation condo. Free parking is just outside your elevator equipped building.
The Pono Kai resort is in historic Kapaa Town on the east side of Kauai island. Located just eight miles from the Lihue airport, Kapaa is a laid back island community that is perfectly located as a base for your exploration of the island PARADISE that is Kauai. Kapaa has many restaurants and quaint island shops which are within easy walking distance of your beach vacation condo. The East Shore of Kauai enjoys better weather than the North Shore (Princeville) and is not as remote as the South Shore (Poipu). You'll love Kapaa's convenient, central location as your springboard to your own Kauai Island sightseeing adventure!
Beach Vacation Condo
The 1 bedroom/1 bath condo (A-305) is on the 3rd (top) floor of the building, just down the hall from the elevator. Being on the top floor affords more privacy and security, less noise and absolutely fantastic views of the Pacific Ocean and beach just outside the condo. Free parking is just outside the building. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom and a full size sofa-bed in the living room (3 persons max occupancy). Tastefully decorated in an island nautical theme, the condo is very well maintained by it's mainland owner who visits 3-4 times a year. A remodeled, fully equipped kitchen, including dishwasher, makes it easy for those guests who want to do their own cooking. 'The kitchen remodel included new cabinets, granite countertops and most appliances. Complimentary WiFi internet service is provided to my guests. The unit has a hotel type safe for the security of the guests valuables. While the condo is not air conditioned (typical for privately owned residences on Kauai) the ocean breezes and the overhead fans usually keep the condo comfortable both day and night all year round. You will love relaxing on the condo lanai (patio) with your favorite drink, feeling the gentle ocean breezes and watching and hearing each new ocean wave come to shore!

The condo is really cute and was perfect for the two of us. We woke up to beautiful sunrises and the sound of the waves and breeze. The condo is very well equipped with everything we needed to include beach chairs towels. The resort is beautifully maintained with gas grills and a sparkling clean pool. The location was nice as we walked to local shops, restaurants and grocery stores. I particularly enjoyed morning runs on the 8 mile beach path with stunning views. We can’t wait to come back.
Pono Kai met all expectations!
We absolutely loved our condo at Pono Kai! The owner was super informative and took great pains to answer all of my questions prior to the trip. Can't think of anything we were in need of - Craig provided it all. Even though the weather was less than optimal, there were a couple of days with higher humidity so the extra supply of portable fans was a huge plus for us. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to our friends and family. Thank you Craig!!!!
My wife and I rented the condo for our first trip to Hawaii and had an amazing stay. We were greeted by a spectacular sunrise from the lanai each morning. The condo itself is updated, modern, and very comfortable. The A/C unit in the bedroom is a nice touch that helps cool the bedroom down enough for comfortable sleeping AND drowns out the sound of the wandering roosters (family members rented 2 other units in the resort and struggled to sleep even with earplugs while my wife and I couldn't hear them at all).
We didn't utilize any of the resort amenities available, but they were plentiful (putting green, shuffleboard, horse shoes, swimming pool, multiple gas grills, etc.).
The location is perfect. Kapaa has lots of restaurants and stores without feeling too big or crowded. It's also situated centrally along the coastline of the island, so it's not too far from the sights in either direction. If you enjoy fishing, you can rent a charter from Hawaiian Style Fishing or one of the other local outfits that launch from the Waikea Boat Ramp (it's less than 500 feet from the Condo). When we weren't out exploring the island, we spent most of our time on the lanai of the condo where we were able to see whales spouting.
The owner did an excellent job of communicating with us and providing us with information on the condo and the island before our trip. Our expectations were exceeded at every turn. We wouldn't change a thing. Mahalo!
Cute condo right on the ocean on Kauai’s east side!
Cute condo overlooking the ocean! You can listen to the waves all day long! Furnishings were very comfortable and Craig was very helpful and responsive! There is a walking path between the unit and the ocean that goes for miles! You can walk to many restaurants, shops etc! Mahalo Craig!

My husband and I truly enjoyed our week at your condo. The unit was WONDERFUL! All the items we needed for the week were right there and the balcony views were breathtaking. Going to bed to the sound of the waves was so relaxing. This unit was centrally located to everything on the island which made seeing all of the glorious points of the island manageable and easy. Thank you for making your unit available! We LOVED out stay.

Rates quoted are for 2 guests staying in condo. Additional persons staying in condo are $5/person/day for guests over 12 years of age. 3 max occupancy. A REFUNDABLE $200.00 ($400.00 if over 2 guests) damage/breakage deposit will be invoiced 10 days prior to check in. Minimum age to rent condo is 25 years of age. You may cancel reservation up to 60 days of your arrival date with all payments refunded, except a $35.00 cancellation fee.
