The condo was very nice, fridge, stove, gated 24 hour security. Really lovely local people, close to Moe's market in Red Hook which has all of your grocery needs, along with restaurants, a few shops, and bars. Had a romantic time walking along the beach, beautiful blue ocean, waves crashing right off the balcony of the condo. Excellent location, scenery and people. We will definitely be back! What a delight!
This is our second stay in this ondo. The condo is nicely remodeled and the view from your balcony is breath taking. The owner Michael is very quick to assist you with any questions or needs. We have already booked Spring Break in March for 10 days. The beach is beautiful with crystal clear waters. Our stay was the most relaxing two weeks in paradise we could have ever asked for. LOVE IT!!!!!
My family and I enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Beach Resort. The view was breathtaking. The room was clean and very nice. The bathroom was well stocked with clean towels. We loved it!!!!
This property was great for what my family and I were looking for. It is a great value, reasonably priced, and beautiful location right on Sapphire Beach. The condo is stocked with the basics and the owner's assistant, Norma, made our stay amazing! She brought us a highchair and crib, and even went to pick up groceries for us since we were arriving on a late flight with a young child. That is going ABOVE AND BEYOND! Norma, seriously made our experience go from good to GREAT! She also made sure the condo was in tip top shape when we arrived.
Positives: Great ambiance sitting on the balcony. Gorgeous views. Nice pool. Super close to the water, you could throw a rock and hit the water! Close to Red Hook to catch a ferry to go to St. John or to go to Moe's for groceries, or to some restaurants. We really liked Fish Tails! Very clean and updated. 24 hour surveillence on the property.
Negatives: The bed was not super comfortable, but it was tolerable. Also, the parking lot is gravel and quite bumpy, there was also some glass shards in one area of the parking lot (it looked like from a broken window maybe). I did not feel comfortable in some of the more "local" markets, (i.e.: Louies Market) shady customers, doing "business on the side".
All of the positives of this place definitely outweigh the negative!
Great location and accommodations for a beachfront get-away!
This beachfront condo had gorgeous views from the deck, the space was attractive, very clean, and well appointed! It was everything we needed for a girls get-away. Sapphire Beach was quiet and lovely at this time of year - we spent hours sitting by the water and snorkeled a couple times. The beachfront cabana was convenient for drinks or snacks. The pool for the Resort and Marina was also a nice place to relax, but it was in need of some upkeep. It was convenient to get into Red hook, although we did not feel a section of the road was safe to walk along, so we always had to pay, coming and going. We would walk to the main road (five minutes) and catch an open-air "safari" for 1$ per person; coming back we learned that a taxi would drop us at the entrance for $10 (for the four of us) - we had to be assertive about this price, the drivers will of course try to get as much as they can from you. After spending a day on St John, one evening we paid a taxi van $16 to take the four of us right to our condo. Moes in Red Hook was a good place for groceries. Overall this was a magnificent location for a quiet get away; the condo itself was perfect! (Would be a five star rating if not for the pool area; it was just not tidy and the private cabana next to the pool was roped off and falling apart.)
The condo was exactly as advertised. We had an issue with the wifi but we didn't need to be working anyway so it worked out ok. Michael was very responsive. The view is a million dollar view and it is down the beach from the busy beach so much quieter during the day and early evening. We stayed 8 nights and loved it. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this is the place for you.
