Long time Carmel residents -more than fifty years between us. We sometimes imagine living somewhere else but Carmel is great to come home to. So we travel...this picture was taken in Todos Santos, Mexico on the southern tip of the Baja Peninsula.
Sylvia Savage purchased this studio in 2009
We are lucky to live here full time. Can't beat the weather, immaculate beaches, clean air, minimal traffic, European village lifestyle.
It's very Car-mellow and so safe that many residents don't even lock their doors.
Total privacy. Easy access to everything. Excellent value. We can advise you as to the best spots for dining, hiking, shopping, etc. Feel like a local without breaking your budget.
We had a wonderful time staying at Sylvia's studio. It is the perfect spot to venture up and down the amazing coast. She was very welcoming upon our arrival and took the time with us to help better understand the town and surrounding area to get the most out of our visit. The room was stocked with treats and the patio off the studio was a nice spot to sit and visit after a day of adventuring. We thoroughly enjoyed our week here and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great little home base to explore from!
Sylvia was available, kind and helpful and we had a little yard and garden view. The picturesque walk to the central shopping area was a breeze. The studio is a perfect small and quiet space from which to enjoy the beauty of Carmel. A real find. And dog friendly.
We love stayin in this place owners are super nice in the studio is so cozy.. This place has an amazing garden...
Perfect little spot for two. Nicely upgraded, charming, quiet, beautiful garden setting, private patio, all the amenities one would need, warms up quickly with the wall heater, nice lighting, comfortable bed, walking distance to town down a sweet wooded trail, and great hosts! No complaints. We would definitely stay here again!
Our hostess was exceptionally helpful and cordial. The cottage and patio were "Carmel" charming. Just minutes from downtown, the beach and 17 mile drive.
My husband and I came to Carmel for a wedding, and we loved our stay at this sweet little studio. It is small but extremely comfortable and well appointed (lots of snacks, good coffee and water bottles in the fridge were such a lovely touch!). Great neighborhood and location. Sylvia was incredibly prompt and helpful over email while we planned our trip.
