Our Studio Condo Is A Top Floor (3rd) Corner Unit That Sleeps Up To Four.
My wife and I moved to Northern Michigan 21 years ago, right after we married. We know Northern Michigan would be a great place to raise children one day. Since then we had two great kids, and come to find out we were right. Northern Michigan is an incredible place to raise children and enjoy life. We purchased a hospitality business in Grand Traverse County and realized the huge demand from others not living in Northern Michigan wanting to enjoy what we enjoy every day, the beauty of Traverse City.
Barry purchased this Condo in 2013
Why Barry chose Williamsburg
We would take our children down to the beaches on the Bay as much as we could in the summer. after awhile we realized that we were at the Bay not only in the summer but in the fall, winter and spring as well. Since we loved being by the Bay so much we decided to purchase our piece of the Bay. So we saw and fell in love with the Condo in The Shores resort complex. It has everything we were looking for in a get away Condo.
What makes this Condo unique
Since owning our Condo we have really enjoyed the pool and hot tub that over look the Bay, the sandy beach where we play volleyball, and the Bay where we put in our kayaks and paddle around. If the weather is not cooperating we just go right down the road to The Grand Traverse Resort and enjoy their indoor pool play area, hot tub, fitness rooms, tennis courts, and my personal favorite the sauna. Inside our condo, we try to get away but with the WiFi available we occasionally will log in. We definitely feel picking the top floor corner unit was a super choice. It is always quiet and the ceilings are vaulted. We often bring our bikes and hop on the TART trail for a great family bike ride. Car rides are easy because of the location. We visit downtown Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Old Mission Peninsula, and Interlochen Center for the Arts.

We had everything we needed great location looking at the bay
This was updated and very clean we felt like we were at home really enjoyed this day and it’s located in a great area thank you
Comfortable & beautiful surroundings.
Great location but truly needs updating
Very quiet location. It is clean. It's just you kind of get put off when you walk in and everything looks quite old and needing updating. The murphy bed was fine and I believe the couch with a pull out bed is newer. It's the stained bath matt, old stained glider chair, old carpet, old dusty blinds and very old small cabinetry in the kitchen area that makes you feel like you are staying in your grandmother's attic. Again, it's clean. Very nice clientele in the area. Owner is very nice!
Adorably charming studio condo with access to everything. Steps away from the beach and pool. Moments away from Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, as well as downtown. Perfect for a couple needing a romantic getaway.
Worked out great for what i needed.
Good location, nice view, well-stocked and very comfortable. Only issue was 3rd floor walk-up on move-in day. Being a single 70-yr old, who was staying for 3+ weeks, i had lots to haul in and out. After resting when move-in was finalized, i found stairs not to be an issue for me during my stay. Unit was clean, cozy, and quiet.
The property was beautifully decorated and quite comfortable. The only drawback was the 3 flights of stairs. We are older and moving in was tiring, however we got used to it and enjoyed it. For future reference you may want to leave detailed instructions on how to operate the tv. We had never seen anything like that having had Directv and cable. Otherwise a very comfortable stay!!
Our Condo is located in the middle of everything Northern Michigan has to offer. Tours of the local Wineries and Microbreweries are very popular. If golfing is your game, the Grand Traverse Resort is just .5 miles down the road with some of the finest golf courses in the Midwest: The Bear, The Wolverine, and Spruce Run. Visit apple and cherry orchards, vineyards, or go blueberry or strawberry picking, it's available here. Bring your bikes or you may rent them, and ride the TART trail completely from the Condo all the way to the other side of The Bay to Suttons Bay. If you enjoy mountain biking the VASA is easily accessible with a 3K, 5K, 10K, & 25K trails. Also the North American VASA race is an annual event that draws thousands of cross country skier enthusiasts to the area.
Traverse City is just 6 miles away. Here you can find out why everyone considers Traverse City a Foodie Town. Also events like the National Cherry Festival and the Traverse City Film Festival draws hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
Right down the road 4.2 miles is one of 2 casinos, Turtle Creek Casino.
Also down the road just 3 miles away is the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival. Here riders compete for prize money.
Interested in incredible talent? Then just go a little past Traverse City to Interlochen where you will find the Interlochen Center for the Arts. This world renown Arts School has concerts for all seasons.
Venture a little further west to visit what Good Morning America says is the most beautiful place in America, The Sleeping Bear Dunes. Here you will find endless beaches on Lake Michigan, dunes that you may climb until you don't want to anymore, and incredible views from Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive.
The Grand Traverse Bay is front and center. At The Shores you may rent anything that will go on the water. Examples are pontoon boats, jet boats, jet skis, surf boards, kayaks, just to name a few.
So enjoy the Bay while being steps away from your Condo or venture out and experience Northern Michigan, knowing your Condo awaits with a beautiful balcony, perfect for watching the sun go down with a glass of your favorite beverage.
