Penthouse triplex facing San Isidro's "El Golf" in Lima, at the 22, 23 & 24th floors. Includes 2 dinning rooms, full kitchen with another dinning room, rooftop BBQ, and a private pool (Starting Dec 2015). Property is 7534 square feet total.
This is a 3 level penthouse, totaling 7534 squared feet, or 700 squared meters. The property is located in the modern district of San Isidro, with views of the San Isidro Golf Club and the Pacific Ocean, along with a 360 degree view of the city. It is safely guarded by a doorman, and has a private garage for residential use. We call our beloved penthouse "Our House in the Sky," since you can see most of the city from what seems to be the clouds.
The first level on the 22nd floor has a huge living room and formal dinning room, on top of an informal kitchen dinning room. The main living room and dinning room contain imported Spanish marble floors. The floor also contains three bedrooms with ample closet space and full bathrooms, a full kitchen with a laundry room, and a guest restroom.
The second level on the 23rd floor has a private swimming pool (starting from December 2015), a closed terrace alongside a living room, and 2 master bedrooms with full baths, one of which has a Jacuzzi.
The third level on the 24th floor has a game room with a pool table, a huge terrace, and a BBQ grill which can be used at any time.
Lastly, our building has a huge garden in the back exclusively for the building's residents, and it's where our kids spent countless hours playing with the neighbors when they were young. The golf course also has a nice pedestrian walkway for a delightful morning or evening jog.
The penthouse is located very close to other interesting locations. Within walking distance is the Swissotel, which has five exquisite restaurants, and the Camino Real Convention Center, which houses San Isidro's best shopping centers and more restaurants. The property's neighborhood is also one of the safest in the city. A few blocks from the property, you can also find Huaca Huallamarca, one of the best preserved Incan ruins in the city open for tourism. These ruins dates back to the sixth century and were used by the Huallas of Lima. It especially stands out because of the sharp contrast it forms with the modern buildings surrounding it.
"El Olivar," or The Olive Grove, is also a few blocks away from our place. The grove is a small municipal park that was founded by the Conquistadores, who brought olive seeds from Spain in the 1500's. The park is a great place for an afternoon roller blade session or a light stroll. If you go early enough, you may even catch a group of people practicing Tai Chi!
The residents of our building and our guests have access to a garage with 1 private car space for our property, and a large garden area.

This part of San Isidro is truly splendid. The weather is always temperate and rather humid, with pleasantly light drizzles in some occasions. The Swissotel, with five exquisite restaurants, the Hotel Los Delfines, with a beautiful casino, and the Country Club, with a delicious Chinese Restaurant and a Starbucks, are located two blocks away and provide exquisitely luxurious escapades. Similarly, we absolutely love Tanta and Astrid y Gaston, two amazing restaurants a few blocks away from our place, owned by the world renown chef Gaston Acurio, who was once named South America's Super Chef by the Washington Post and owns 44 restaurants around the globe.
A few blocks away from our place is also the Ovalo Gutierrez, with one of the best movie theaters in the city. The Ovalo, or roundabout, is a great symbol of the bustling metropolis that is the city of Lima, and is frequented by many locals. If you make your way there, make sure you stop by La Pava, a tiny sandwich joint where you'll truly feel like a local.
Last but most certainly not least, make sure you go to Larcomar just before sunset, as it is the second best place to watch the sunset in all of Lima, after our apartment of course.
Driving in Lima can be a little bit hectic, but we certainly recommend it as taxis can be dangerous and can jack up the price if you're not a good haggler. If you do hop on a cab, make sure you're ready to bargain. If you hop on a public bus, beware of pickpockets.

This is the biggest Triplex available in Peru, 7534 Sqare Feet or around 700 meters, with 5 bedrooms with a private bathroom each, with 9 bathrooms, 2 dinning rooms, a terrace with BBQ, Private swimming pool, game room, it's a castle in the sky, it's a place where you and your guests will enjoy your stay in Lima with the privacy and comfort of a 5 star hotel, but absolutely private, in a unique one of a kind location.
Best available location in Lima, huge 7534 sf, 700 m2, 22nd penthouse apartment with marble floors, 9 bathrooms, main dinning room plus a second dinning room, a huge master living room and dinning room, playroom, swimming pool, BBQ with a private solarium in the 24th floor, the most safest location in Lima with 24 hour concierge and police at the door 24hrs, this is a must have place in Lima.
Let me start by saying the apartment at first glance is impressive with great views. Once settled in the blemishes became noticeable. To start the floors were filthy (pictures will be attached to our tripadvisor review). The kitchen needed to be re-cleaned and had a broken draw. The master bedroom walk-in closet smelled of mildew and it's toilet area smelled of urine. This is unacceptable especially after paying a cleaning fee. This as well as other items that I will bring out were brought to the owners attention and he was willing to remedy but we were out and did not fully trust the staff to permit them to enter without us being present.
Next was the issue of maintenance. Loose ceiling fans that wobbled causing a safety issue, a jagged metal stair riser leading to the top level which could easily cut someones foot open, the pool table was in extremely poor condition as was the ceiling above it and an audio system that was burnt out. The most annoying issue was the leaking hot water heater. The property manager stated she would come by once a day to empty the bucket below the heater. This was obviously not enough since the ceiling in the bathroom below was soaked, pealing and damaged (a sign of water leaking for a significant period of time) and would drip on you when using the sink. I personally emptied this bucket three times a day, first thing in the morning at 7:00 am, second when I returned for the day at 4:00 pm and lastly at 11:00 pm. all times the bucket was completely full. Again the owner was informed and was willing to remedy but again there was a trust factor of not wanting anyone in the apartment when we were not there (no place to secure your valuables) and these were obvious existing issues that should have been taken care of before we arrived not once we were settled in and expected to be inconvenienced.
On a lesser note, the furniture and carpeting is worn and dated but will serve it's purpose and what is called a concierge downstairs is actually a doormen that is little to no help at all.
The apartment has no air-conditioning at all requiring you to open the windows letting bugs in and causing one major safety issue. The two window at the corner of the dinning area open fully creating a fall/death hazard. Of all the issues this should be addressed immediately.
Overall we did make the best of the situation and did have a good time in Lima.
Great apartment! Very spaciuos, with a lot of light and impressive views of Lima. It is old contruction so you can see the use in closets and bathrooms but everything was very clean, super neat and well mantained. Very comfortable beds, good linens and towels. I would recomend this apartment for sure. I loved spending Christmas there, felt like home! Thanks Maria and Lorenza for everything. I hope we can go back soon!
Loved the place! My family got together in Lima for my wedding. We wanted a place where we could stay together. Everyone was very impressed. It would be hard to find a better view in Lima and we couldn't have been more comfortable. The place is large enough that we could have had the wedding there. With swimming pool and the billards table the kids were happy and stayed occupied. The owner, David, was very gracious and worked with us for our unique needs. I would highly recommend this apartment if you are looking for a larger place to stay.
