Wai'ula'ula is located on the 'mauka' or mountain side of the highway at the Uplands development, accessed through the Hapuna Prince Resort entrance. The elevation of this area provides the most pleasant temperature with gentle breezes and expansive fairway views. All of the 'Ridge' units at Wai'ula'ula can be opened up for outdoor living but are also air-conditioned for maximum comfort. Interior appointments include custom furnishings, cherry wood cabinetry, and natural stone flooring. Wai'ula'ula has arguably the best recreation pavilion of all the resort properties for guests who like a private, spa-like vibe. It features it's own private infinity pool, large hot tub, and exercise room. It has a natural saline pool that is gentler on the skin than chlorine. There is also a large Club House that can be reserved by guests for entertaining.

Great Vacation Condo

“This was a great vacation condo--the location was beautiful, and one could see views of the ocean from the back patio. The air conditioning was a welcome bonus, and the pool in the condo area was beautiful. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!”

Great view, location

This unit was clean but definitely lacking in the number of dishes and various supplies. There was not even a potato peeler in the unit so we bought one. Pots and pans were antiques and not good quality and they did not have an excess of dishes or bowls, etc. The 2 king size beds were fairly comfortable but not what you expect for $495.00 /night. The sheets were old and tired and need to be replaced. Towels were fine though.

Our main complaint with this E202 was the 3 smallest and most out dated TV's. They were not even flat screen TV's and the biggest one was likely a 26". This is not acceptable when you are charging the rates you charge per night.

The lanai was nice and large and the ocean view was amazing.

The management company was fine to work with. The unit was very clean when we arrived. The unit is located very close to the Amenity Center so is handy to go to the pool or the gym. We did not purchase the amenity package for the Hapuna Beach Resort and Muana Kea Resort but we did go down there on our own and enjoy the beach. There were only the 2 of us staying in the unit and for $65.00 a day it is not worth it for 2 people. If you had a large family staying, it would be worth buying the amenities package. The area is beautiful and was not that busy during our stay. Of course, the weather in Hawaii is what we all go for. We had a very enjoyable vacation.

Our negative part of this experience was booking through VRBO - Home Away and being charged a ridiculous booking fee for $199.00, when they did absolutely nothing. When I checked the VRBO site days later, after having the money charged to my credit card, it did not even show the unit as being booked at all, so I do not know what they did for $199.00. I feel we should have been given a refund. The operator was very pushy and obnoxious. We will never ever book any vacation through Home Away again. In future, we will deal directly with the management companies because they are the ones who really look after everything for you.
