Polly purchased this house in 1975
My family has owned this property since 1975. I grew up in this house.
Great house for groups who like to cook and spend time outdoors.
This house in the heart of East Burke provided my family with a terrific place to stay. Everything in the profile was accurate but there is no way Polly could describe the wow factor we felt when we stepped inside. It is beautifully restored and manages to remain cozy while being stunning. The open floor plan downstairs provides three different seating areas and a well-stocked kitchen. Even in September we made use of the fireplace, and good hard wood is provided. The washer and dryer in the upstairs bathroom was much appreciated for our week-long visit. We enjoyed afternoon walks to the general store and watched the cyclists head up the hill everyday. The newly opened coffee shop just two doors away has a great selection of breakfast muffins and they started serving sandwiches for lunch the week we were there. One can dine well for all three meals and walk to each place. Probably the best thing about the house was that the owners live nearby and are willing to answer questions or to respond if there is a need. Thank you Polly!

After reading all of the glowing reviews I really should not have been surprised when we arrived at the house, it was absolutely incredible! The location was way too good to be true, truly in the heart of the village. The interior was gorgeous and very comfortable! I will without a doubt stay here again! Thanks for a great time, Polly!
I stayed at this house with a party of six for NYE. We had a fantastic time. The house has been updated but is still charming (wide floorboards and nice fireplace). We had plenty of space to spread out in the bedrooms upstairs and lots of common rooms to get together downstairs. The house is walking distance to multiple restaurants and a little country store which was so convenient. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again!
Have rented other properties in the area, but this one takes the prize. Initially we drove right past it--assuming the house could not possibly be located in such a central location for the area. Indeed it is.
For such an incredible location you might assume you are making other sacrifices in living conditions--absolutely not. The home is beautiful, charming, and very modern when it comes to important amenities like kitchens, bathrooms, and Wifi.
There is also ample room for several cars to park, a garage for storing of your sporting equipment, and a lovely porch where there is a gas grill to BBQ.
Honestly, it made me wonder why I do not live in East Burke, Vermont...
Located in the heart of East Burke Village, directly on Kingdom Trails. Two minutes to Burke Mountain Ski Resort and Downhill Mountain Biking. Also close to Jay Peak Ski Resort and Waterpark.
