We have lived in Lake Placid for more than 10 year and falling in love with this town more and more every year. We've been married for 9 years and we have a wonderful baby girl - Samantha. We love outdoors, but kayaking is out favorite thing to do. We love to meet new people and hope your stay in our home will be memorable.
We loved our stay at this house - perfect for a wedding weekend with friends. We didn't spend much time in the house itself except to sleep and sit on the porch out front. Location walking distance to downtown was ideal (bars, restaurants, shops, lakefront). Everything was beautifully decorated, clean, and appealing.
The only reason I give it four stars is that the bedroom on the ground floor was not comfortable. The bed was a futon with metal bars in the mattress, making it almost impossible for 2 people to get a good night's sleep. My friend who slept on the futon bed upstairs had the same comment, and he was only one person. The bathroom downstairs was quaint but also too tiny for us to use comfortably. We were out for every meal, but if you were going to use the kitchen for cooking, you would likely need to bring most of your supplies as it didn't seem well stocked. I would recommend not having a full house of guests here.
