Overview

About the property

3BR, 1.5BA, Walk to Restaurants, Tennis, Bike Path, 5 min to Beach

Enjoy summer on Cape Cod at Sea Rose Cottage, located in Historic Harwich Center, just minutes from the bike path and a 5 minute drive to Bank Street Beach.

Tucked away in a quiet, residential neighborhood, Sea Rose Cottage is steps from Historic Harwich Center where you can enjoy restaurants & shops, the library, bike path and Brooks Park, featuring a ball field, tennis courts, and a children's playground. Spend a balmy summer evening cheering on the Harwich Mariners at nearby Whitehouse Field, a 10-minute walk away.

This family-friendly, 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath cottage with central A/C, is one-level living with a fabulous Great Room- a sun-drenched living room and dining room surrounded by windows under a sky blue ceiling. Three steps up brings you to a newer renovated, European-style kitchen with granite countertops and slate floor. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, oven & glass-topped stove.

The cottage sleeps 7 in three bedrooms - Master w a queen bed, Bunk Room w a queen/twin bunk bed and a twin, and the Sun Room w a full daybed. All bedrooms have dressers and full-sized closets and/or armoires. A full bath with shower (no tub) is just off the kitchen and a new half bath is off the great room. There are two flat screen HDTVs- one in the great room (DVD player), and one in the living room which has a wood-burning fireplace. Cottage is WiFi accessible. Washer and dryer are located in a full basement accessible through a bulkhead. There is an outdoor shower, and a shed that stores beach accessories which you are welcome to use, including beach chairs, an umbrella, cooler & 2 cruising bikes.

OUTDOOR LIVING

Enjoy morning coffee in your Adirondack chair in a private fenced-in yard. Relax under the shade of a Japanese maple, gently swinging in a hammock that's big enough for two (or even three.) After a day at the beach, rinse off in your outdoor shower, followed by light snacks and drinks on the bluestone patio under a candle-lit teepee, then a grilled dinner on the house patio (both charcoal and propane grills available.) End the evening with a glass of wine or toasted marshmallows by the outdoor firepit.

ACTIVITIES

Harwich and Harwich Port offer many beaches and activities all within a walk or short drive from the cottage.

Beaches:

Bank Street Beach- a favorite with families- is just a 5 min drive away! Visitors can purchase a town sticker to any of the many Harwich beaches on Nantucket Sound.

Golf:

Several public golf courses are close by including the premier 18 hole Cranberry Valley Golf Course, less than a mile away, and the Harwich Port Golf Club- a 9 hole walking course, 1.5 miles away.

Biking:

You are minutes from the bike path with access to the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Take the 19 mile scenic ride past cranberry bogs, ponds, and bays to Wellfleet, or opt for the shorter ride into downtown Chatham.

Miniature golf courses are on Rte 28 in nearby Yarmouth and Dennis.

Adorable and welcoming cottage!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a lovely long weekend at the Sea Rose Cottage. It's close to all the things we wanted to see and do, very nicely laid out and perfectly decorated for a Cape Cottage. We would recommend this to couples or a family with young children. Look forward to going back!

Great vacation in Cape Cod

  • 5 of 5

August 2015

We visited Cape Cod for the first time and the Sea Rose cottage was a great choice for our stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and close to the town and beach. The kitchen was modern and well stocked. The great room provided more than enough space to relax after a long day of sight seeing or beach fun. The beds were comfortable, sheets provided as well as bath towels , beach chairs and umbrella. What more could you ask for .

Thanks Janice ( and Dave)

Absolutely adorable cottage!!

  • 5 of 5

Sea Rose Cottage exceeded our expectations from the minute we arrived. It was spotless and decorated exactly as you would hope a Cape Cod beach house would look! The yard was private and the setting so inviting with the candles and firepit! Perfect location in the midcape to visit all the attractions and different beaches. Our family loved this house and would have been happy to never leave :) We would definitely return when we visit the cape next!

June dawns fresh, with few crowds and lots of sunny days. A cool sea breeze means perfect bike riding weather! Explore Chatham for breakfast or lunch, Chatham Light- site of the Pendelton- in the afternoon, and sunset on the veranda of the Chatham Bars Inn. Or, if you’re feeling ambitious, follow the Cape Cod Rail Trail into Wellfleet, through the towns of Harwich, Brewster, Orleans & Eastham, passing kettle ponds, lakes, bogs and dunes. You’ll pass several eateries along the way- El Guappo’s, Ardeo or Breakwater Fish & Lobster- but don’t indulge too much, you still have to make the 20 mile return trip home! Take the Freedom Cruise Line to Nantucket, out of Saquatucket Harbor in Harwich Port, to get front row seating at your favorite restaurant- without the wait. Parking is free for day-trippers and you can take your bike!

Summer brings sandy feet, starry nights and dining al fresco. Harwich’s official kick-off to the summer season begins with the 5K Harwich Road Race held in June, complete with a post-race party. Beach-goers will be hard pressed deciding between Harwich’s 22 salt and fresh water beaches. For an unforgettable sunset, take the 15 min drive to Rock Harbor or Skaket Beach in Orleans. Other must-visits are the Cape Cod Lavender Farm and First Crush Winery. Rainy days can mean catching a movie at the Chatham Orpheum or the historic Cape Cinema, Orleans for bowling and barbeque, antiquing at the Harwich Antique Center, or visiting the newly opened Whydah Pirate Museum. Maybe you’d prefer to stay in and kick back, enjoy the fresh, local produce from the Harwich Farmer’s Market, set the seafood on the grill, sink into the couch and just chill. Sea Rose Cottage is a good place to rest after a busy day, and a good place to call home.
